She gets extremely excited when talking about minor things in Chemistry and other sciences, as well as when talking about who is going to be playing Batman for what seems like its fifteenth reboot. Below this level, however, Cecily’s social awkwardness is revealed, as while she is critical, her sharpness is ultimately a product of her caring and striving after a singular purpose. She is fixated with the idea of figuring out what is true, rather than what is right or wrong. She doesn’t care about morality—she cares about finding the actual series of events and ensuring that they are brought to life. Her fixation with comic books and other heroes are due to her need to believe in something good in the world. Working in a crime lab takes an enormous toll on her mind, as she constantly is reminded of the worst of humanity. She uses movies and novels and comics as an escape from reality, in order to finally believe that there can be something good out there. Beyond this, she is an incredibly loyal and determined person. She follows her moral compass and acts accordingly, operating within the framework of mind that appeals to her sense of logic. If she trusts someone and cares about them, she’ll do anything for them.

History
General History: Cecily was born in Seattle, Washington to two high powered lawyers. Cecily spent her entire childhood following them around the country, watching as they attempted to bring people to justice (or rather, to make a profit!) In order to justify their shady tactics and deals to their daughter, they told Cecily that the most important thing was the preserve the truth and ensure it was revealed. This principle quickly engrained itself into her skull, pushing her towards becoming a forensic technician. Due to her heavy amount of traveling, she constantly went from culture to culture, and noticed that science and math were the only things that changed the same. It didn’t matter if she was in Washington or Florida – an atom was an atom and two equaled two. The consistency of it gave her stability in her almost nomadic lifestyle, and because of her parents’ prestige and friends, she was accepted at Carnegie Mellon to study Chemistry. She quickly added a minor in Biology as the credits worked out and it would easily allow her to use her skills towards finding out the truth in crimes. Upon graduation, she missed the West Coast dearly and worked in Seattle's crime lab for a little while, before getting offered a job with better pay in Altsoba. Now the head of the tiny forensics department in Altsoba, Cecily is continues to be a bit of a fanatic about her work. Most find her to be creepy or disturbing, but she considers herself to be a finder of truth. As a boss goes, she's an extreme stickler for the rules, and many forensic techs don't last long in the small town. As an atheist, she is surprisingly open minded about the apocalypse, thinking of the quote "magic is simply science we do not yet understand." The only thing she loves more than a corpse, of course, is a good comic book.
