Traveler continued its search for the captain even as the ship began to strain from enemy fire. Luckily the immediate damage was minimal, but it clearly would not be long before the hull would be breached. Even though Traveler could survive an extended amount of time in space, most of the other pirates could not along with the merchant captain. The orders were clear, deliver the captain alive. Eventually it found its way to the captain and a handful of guards behind him in the corridor along with two fellow pirates who were pinned with few options. Knowing there was little time, Traveler quickly formulated a plan. Immediate execution of the four non-critical targets would make an easier task of subduing the captain. Capitalizing on his formless nature, Traveler opted to swiftly travel through the nasal cavities and tear the brains apart from within. Acting on its plan and coming from behind, it killed the four guards within seconds who alerted the captain when they each fell with a thud. “What the f-“The captain said as he turned and was immediately interrupted by a large black wall which immediately enveloped him. Acting the only way he could, the captain pulled the trigger to Traveler’s dismay. Plasma was a weakness of it as a small portion of its carapace melted away, the individual cells dying off. Counter attacking, Traveler opted to sever the responsible arm from the body. A normally fatal wound given time, but Traveler only allowed him to bleed long enough to severely weaken the captain before sealing it up with its own carapace. The sheer pain from losing a limb along with the blood loss made a difficult fight for the captain to remain conscious, a fight that would take most of his energy rendering him incapacitated. Shortly after, a small hole opened in the corridor. The hull was breaking apart from the strain of enemy fire which meant time was running out. With the captain sealed safely within its carapace, it went back to the hole, which was much bigger now, and quickly depressurizing the affected rooms/corridors and waiting for the two ships to line up right, it leapt towards the Typhon in a most cinematic fashion. Landing on it in seconds, it quickly found a airlock to enter the ship before the merchant captain died from exposure to space.
