I'm not really in favour of the canon changing as it goes atm having an effect on the RP directly- as it would have quite an implication on the effects of a lot of what's been covered so far in this RP. If say, a major character like Gendry et al. that currently exists in the canon were to die, it may have a bit of an implication on the events going on currently- which means going ad-hoc by episodes a little inconsistent, as opposed to our leaving-off point at the end of S6. The same reflects in what I think about the Tyrells- Cersei and Jaime seem to suggest that they're basically completely wiped out- I don't for a second think that the show considers that Willas/Garlan exist, and if they did, the Lannisters would be hunting them relentlessly, or they'd already be dead, or have taken charge. It just seems puzzling, is all. I think probably leaving it with Dickon Tarly, son of Randyll would still work best- it may not make sense now, but in what we didn't know due to speculation, it may be something that could make sense given his age and other attributes we see atm. 

As for his birth name? Jahaerys seems rather fitting :D
