18+ for mature (and possibly controversial) themes. So after finding it slightly tiring roleplaying my main character. I have lost my muse, and instead, I would opt to make out things more focused on the past of Black&White as it's more or less (as of right now) heavily focused on the present. The present's developed out now, which leaves an unexplained story of the past and how certain families came to be. Those interested are free to join me and we will vote on two specific timelines to use: One of which would be after the First Great War (World War I), and the other would be during before the Colonial Era (albeit not present in the Earth as we know it. Of course, there are answers that would need to be given towards any sort of questions regarding it. Solar, what's Black&White? Black&White is a Touhou fanstory (and thus an alternate interpretation from what is dominantly perceived canon, so also some silly headcanon stuff) of mine which I've written out for six years and counting. This will be the first time I've written such information down off of the top of my head, racking my brain can be quite painful due to the amount of things I remember all about the story. It's main focus is first the Flareborne family, although later it expands on the Organization which was birthed from major parts of what had led the family. The bloodline reaches deep with even some open ends and turns which allows for others to make their own characters. The story itself in present timeline is the Antique Era; which is Neo Modern with Sci-Fi and Fantasy elements both - so such a thing as demons can still exist with cyborgs or robots with their own sort of emotional subroutines. Although seeing as we're focusing on the past, technology may not be as so far advanced - leaving us with Steampunk. Black&White's name comes from the fact that the protagonists of the story not being separated from black and white; but because of the colors being the two primary sense of wear for the Organization that's made later a few decades before the present time. It also references to how the main cast are never a sort of Hero or Villain, or even Anti-Hero. They more or less do what's necessary to get the job done, although might not accept collateral in doing so. Morality and ethics are skewed as an individual's psyche may become the sole reason for their actions, as even they might just commit an act of evil in order to protect themselves or otherwise. Instead: good and evil will both be in the eyes of the beholder. Truces broken, families potentially shattered.. Betrayals made, as well as maybe even the most heinous of crimes committed.. All for probably what may be seen as the greater good. As such a murder might be made on an unjust politician. An act that might as well just be evil - whilst being done for the good of things in turn. Or knowingly following orders of a corrupt official: Which may be seen as an act of good, but is ultimately evil to the local population. There is no such thing as a moral high ground within this story, as everyone - even the most pure person: May just have some filth on their hands compared to what may be seen on the outside.
The year is roughly in the midst of the eighteenth century. The world of Aurorantia is embroiled within a holy war instigated the Genesis Order of Papal whilst using the Templari as their main line of conquest. The war is not only meant to unify the world as a whole, but it is also meant to eliminate a perceived threat - witches and demons. Persecutions have gone to extreme lengths, bordering unspeakable horrors ranging from public sacrifice, to summary execution without any sort of explanation. People are easily turned into targets of disposal as neighbors turn on each other for the smallest of arguments and discussions - such as not paying rent or debt. All it takes is one believable accusation in a land under the jurisdiction of Genesis, done all in gruesome service to what they perceive as just and holy. While not on a grand scale, it takes those who'd easily profit from a war to point their fingers at would be target and supply it. Alliances are uneasily made, and people are in a full panic as the tyranny may just threaten to reach their village or town. Favored people plucked away out of homes just to be taken down as a measurable display of power amongst the region to see and take as an example. Others have found solace in withdrawing from society - as well as keeping to themselves while taking every step of suspicion away from the naked eye. Some not associated with both, refuse to wait for the coming storm: And prepare to defend their homes to the bitter last, developing perhaps what would be some of the few things able to stop the Genesis Order. Such things are yet to be discovered, let alone put to the test - which it's only test is within the field. White and Gold - while colors associated with good; are more or less the primary symbol of terror within the world. Revolution would take multiple sparks. Nations all the while might just opt to remain neutral unless they are attacked. Unfortunately the Auriseld Conclave was the first to fall victim to the attacks, survivors having fled to other nations for succor and refuge. The brightest and intellectual minds they were, the Auriseld Conclave. Most people would mistake them for human were it not for that, but that also made them just as easy targets. The nearby nations of the continent had responded with unfortunate silence as they await the coming storm of war for harboring what the Genesis Order views as "Illegal" and "Impure". It won't just take their combined might, but it will also take perhaps even the enlistment of the independent tribesfolk as well. And no one would deny that war is indeed, coming to Aurorantia's continent of Eselashia. Legends will be sang as only the victor will decide the history of the continent, and names will be written down which may come for later use. It began simply with one witch along with a party of various people - doing what wouldn't have been thought possible, even if it meant committing themselves further and endangering others.

The Aftermath of the First Great War upon the defeat of the Central Powers have been what shook the very world. A war said to end all wars; although that of course was what was thought. Every country still had it's problems, London had some involving an unsolved murder which is now resurging once more. What was ultimately unsolved may be solved - or may be another part of the puzzle as utterances of Jack the Ripper became wholesomely present as more murders have gone by - unexplained. Once more Whitechapel, and even the rest of London has started to turn up with murders caused by knife wounds. However, they are not as gruesome, and seem to target more than just the red light workers. With no strings, it may not be Jack the Ripper as most would think. Although leads have come up to a cold end. The police however, have decided to enlist the aid of a woman and her knowledge in the occult - that is assuming she's able to talk to the spirits of the dead. Enter Patchouli Knowledge (Pat-choo-lee No-ledge), an aspiring librarian who had not seen her dreams come to fruition the past thirty years. Having grown during the time of the Great War and relocating herself away from the fighting - the woman is only in pursuit to satiate her only lust: Knowledge of absolutely everything, and a library to make it. The woman, despite being rumored to be in her late twenties to early thirties, appears as a young adult - with the nature of such things being kept secret. It's said that her dream has been forlornly discarded, although her deductive reasoning and intellect has lead her to only make ends meet as a detective. It's said that this sort of outlook and manner of how to live her life: was presumably inspired by the fictional consulting detective Sherlock Holmes. The woman's capability of magic is kept secret by the government and the constables both, and she's often assisted with her familiar Koakuma. Said magic doesn't come without the consequence of possibly the general public were it to be discovered. Patchouli only works under the cover of the night - and is rarely seen in the day time. To top it all off, Koa is an unspecified species of demoness. This may mean run ins with the underground, or maybe even the consulting of more questionable species of organisms. To summon something that is reviled is a crime unless whom is traveling knows not only to cover their tracks - but gradually integrates themselves within society so none won't care. Such things in the world however: are kept secret as to not tear the veil of reality to what the public perceives. As a result of all of this - Patchouli may need to use more than just her wit to survive, and she may need to use her talent if things are dire. Even if it risks being a major scandal, and might lose her own way of life and to be out on the streets like the other impoverished. The plot of investigation regarding Jack the Ripper would be a massive undertaking - an unsolved case for the decades that have passed. And many have wished for the closure of the cold case just to be able to rest at night in much peace. Although it may uncover something at hand which may be darker, but also perhaps even unrelated. And the fate of more than just London's population may be what ultimately lies in the balance for what may be uncovered - whether by purpose or accident.

We will be voting on what timeline to do first, this is just a general interest check and preview. Any form of Godmodding is not allowed. Any personal disputes are to be brought to the GM (Me), or Co-GMs - in case of being unable to resolve it with a fellow RPer Harassment of any kind within the roleplay (OOC) will not be tolerated. No exceptions. Do not force relationships without the other player's consent. These rules can be subject to change until the finalization towards if this RP gains enough interest. Rules can also be changed via petition. There are some factions which won't accept a race particularly for the reason of them being that race (I. E. A demon being in the Genesis Order is highly unlikely, as they're out to kill them). These restrictions won't be as much in the Light proposal than the Dark proposal, as there's little factions in the story. Feel free to pitch ideas! Character Sheets will be written out when enough interest is gained.
