She had around five other younger sisters, whom Helia all loved and cherised. While her youngest were groomed to be ladies, Helia had managed to take in time, to practice with a bow. Whenever she wasn't learning to be a Lady - sew, cook or practice her fine voice in singing. Her bow skill improved as she grew stronger and more beautiful - in-time she would have likely matched the best archer in Westeros. While her future would have most likely constituted as being another wife to a Marcher Lord - fate stepped in, as a rather sharp spring cold snapped and took away her brother Jaron and father. In essence, making her the Lady of the Marches and Lady of the Nightsong - in one day, at that. Under her rule, the Marcher Lords have continued their growth - their prestige and influence growing. As Helia Caron, continued her father' legacy - that of the Long March...
History: The Carons date back to the Age of Heroes, and they are a family known for creating warriors and singers. They claim their nightingale sigil has been in 1,000 battles. They have held Nightsong for many centuries and have guarded the western border of the domain of the Storm Kings of House Durrandon, but also once the Kingdom of the Reach - who once included western marches from Horn Hill to Nightsong. The castle that has been besieged at least 37 times in the last millenium. Throughout their accomplishments, that Carons have been all...except a respected House in Westeros. For all their claims, they are only known in the Stormlands. Barely known as another House in the many thousands in Westeros - that all had changed under the rule of one man, Pyrak Caron. Namely the grandfather of Helia Caron - the man whom had the ambition, cunning and drive to unite the Marcher Lords under his banner - to carve out the Caron name from the Age of Heroes. Namely Pyrak Caron' ambition, was to slowly but surely - unite the various Lords of the Dornish Marches under his lordship. For sixty years, Pyrak Caron toiled away - through conquest, marriage, bribery and even bloodshed. Pyrak Caron subjugated or allied various Marcher Lords under his rulership. His son Merson Caron continued his work - using his four youngest daugters to finalize their hold. Finally, having meaning to their title the Lord of the Marches. In eighty years, they had gone from another House in the Dornish Marches to the second House in the Stormlands after House Baratheon. While the death of Merson Caron and Jaron Caron had dulled their family' progress - Helia Caron continues their future. With storms gathering over the horizon - House Caron might have a chance, to complete their road to glory.
