Hey, think of it this way: If Henry joins the Machina alongside Endian, he would have an army to wage his war against the Heavens and Hell. Even if he [i]hates[/i] the Machina, he's witnessed their power first hand and would at least be aware that they give our goodies more often than Hell does. When was the last time Henry was rewarded anything for his efforts?
