She wears neon green pants, designed to mimic the flash of a firefly, and heavy black boots laced up to her calves. Lightning Bug wears black leather gloves to cover her fingerprints, and a pair of green-tinted goggles to hide her appearance, in addition to the hood. Civilian Appearance: Jessica can often be seen wearing various colors and patterns of checkered or plaid buttoned shirts, though they are often unbuttoned or the corners are tied in front of her to reveal the white shirt she wears underneath. She usually wears boys jeans, as they have pockets both deeper and more numerous than girls jeans. Jessie does still wear the same boots she wears in her costumed form however, as she thinks they're generic enough that she won't be recognized.

Icon: A neon green, eight pointed starburst. "It's not a bug splatter!" Costumed Personality: Lightning Bug delights in causing chaos. While she rarely wants to see any of her potential victims get hurt, she finds that causing panic and confusion is a fantastic tool to help her reach her goals. Lightning Bug is quick and efficient in her schemes, and attempts to plan ahead, often laying the groundwork for a job weeks in advance. In the moment however, she allows herself to cut loose, improving speeches, one-liners, displays of power, and the like; so long as it doesn't interfere with her plans as a whole. She has been called deranged due to the fact that she wears a big smirk during all of her jobs, but truth be told it's simply because that is when she feels in her element, and most like herself. Civilian Personality: Jessie is bored. Bored of the mundane, of traffic, of people, of work and school and grocery shopping and small talk. She craves excitement and adventure, feeling frustrated at being stuck in college and working at her parents flower shop. Deep down Jessie fears disappointing her parents, even though she's an adult and insists she makes her own decisions. She wants to provide a comfortable, wealthy life to the people she cares about, and when she's done that she plans on disappearing and living her own life, doing whatever she wants. Super abilities: Low/Mid Intermediate tier -Skills: Jessie is majoring in computer sciences and has proven she knows her way around the brains of a computer -Powers: --Electrokinesis: Lightning Bug's body constantly creates a high-powered static field. She is able to manipulate this power to manifest purple bolts of electrical energy from her hands, firing them at a range of about 15 feet or using them up close and personal. She is able to control the level of shock, from as small enough to simply charge a device such as an iPod up to being able to short out someone's heart. She is also able to manipulate electricity in the environment around her, though to a lesser degree of control. --Short Range Teleportation: Lightning Bug has manifested an ability to instantly transport herself and any inanimate object she can hold to any spot within her line of sight. She disappears in a bright spark of purple energy and reappears in a similar manner at her chosen destination. Currently she is only able to teleport about five or six times before needing to pause and rest for a few hours. --Limited Technopathy: Lightning Bug is able to project her will onto simple computer systems, making it easier for her to access things she shouldn't or bypass security systems. This is a low-level power, and takes most of her concentration to be able to do. -Gadgets: --Telescopic Goggles: The green goggles Lightning Bug wears have a built in telescoping system, allowing for her to more clearly see distant points she might be able to teleport to. These further jumps wear her out more quickly, but have provided a way out of a few tight situations. Biography--------- Character History/Origin: Jessica Beedle was born in Coast City California, the daughter of accomplished geneticist Gerard Beedle and his wife, Susanne. Her early years were filled with joy and comfort as her father's position afforded them a fair amount of wealth. When she was around eight years old however, her father presented some research stating the he believed humanity was not the peak of evolution on Earth, and that a greater change to the species was coming. This was seen as a ludicrous theory by his peers, and Gerard was eventually forced out of the field he loved so much. The family was forced to move out of their luxurious home after their saving dried up, selling off their assets and investments. Jessie watched her family go from happy and wealthy to poor and frustrated. Several years after her father lost his position, Jessie began to discover her unusual abilities. They began as simple, explainable things; static buildup leading to small shocks, being good with computers, things like that. It wasn't until she was standing in the small kitchen one day, staring out the window and daydreaming as she washed dishes that she began to realize something was very different about herself. She went from washing dishes to suddenly standing in the empty lot across the street, dishrag and plate in hand. She ran back to her house where she was met by her concerned parents, who had seen her sudden vanishing act. After that she began to experiment more and more, discovering her electrical abilities and testing the range on her teleportation. Gerard was thrilled at this discovery, seeing it as vindication of his theory that humans were set to have an evolutionary leap, though he could never have predicted something as drastic as this. Jessie's parents encouraged her to push the limits of her powers, to see what she could do, and to test how much better she was than a normal person. As the years went by, Gerard used his waning influence to help Jessie get into a prestigious tech school in Coast City, and most of the funds from the flower shop went to support his superpowered daughter. Jessie worked weekends in the shop to help pay back the debt she owed her parents, but soon found herself bored with it all. She still remembered living in the lap of luxury, and with these abilities what was keeping her from simply taking what she wanted? Of course, she didn't want to leave her parents in the dust, and so she began to concoct her plans. She'd stay in school and earn a degree, something useful that could land her a job wherever she went. She'd cut back on working at the flower shop, only coming in a few times a month now. She used her new free time and a limited budget to construct her costume, a design she hoped would hide her identity and remind her of her parents nickname for her: Lightning Bug. And then, once it was all complete... Well, there were certainly people and places out there with some excess green to spare. Who would mind if she simply... Liberated some of it? On the back of the suit jacket are a pair of painted on, red angel wings. She wears black gloves with several gold and silver rings over them, and black sneakers with a steel toe. Her hair is dyed a multitude of different colors, from red to black to blue to green, with streaks of mixed colors running through, and her hair is usually tied in a loose bun. Her face is white, due to paint or some kind of condition is unknown, though she has a red anarchy symbol painted over her face as well. Civilian Appearance: Unknown, possible she does not have a civilian persona. Icon:

Costumed Personality: Anarkee seems to live for chaos. Her motto in life is "We all die anyway, so live while you have the chance.". She hates social norms, and the unspoken 'social contracts' that govern most of the civilized world. She actively rebels against governments and laws unless she wants something from them, and would encourage others to do the same if they would just wake up from their goddamned programming and think for themselves for once in their miserable lives. Anarkee has no regard for personal property, and little regard for material wealth, viewing money as a means to an end at best, and a limiting construct built by the government to control the populace at worst. She will speak her mind, even when nobody around wants to hear it, and isn't afraid of doing whatever it takes to get what she wants. Even if all she wants is a pack of gum. On a good day, Anarkee could be content with some petty vandalism and theft, but on a bad day could try to enact a plan to wipe out the entire eastern seaboard. The problem is, those days are often the same day. Civilian Personality: Unknown, possible there is no disconnect between Anarkee's costumed personality and any other personality. Super abilities: -Skills: --Peak Mental Conditioning: Through unknown means, Anarkee has trained herself to the highest form of intellect the human mind is capable of. She is therefore immune to most types of mental probing and emotional influence, and is capable of manipulating and pushing her will on weak-willed individuals, making them help her as if it were their idea --Chemical Immunity: Due to various paranoias and obsessions, Anarkee has spent years developing immunities and tolerances to most natural and manmade drugs, poisons, and toxins. She can stand in the midst of her own gas bombs and be unaffected. --Local knowledge: Anarkee has spent a long time studying the people, places, and societies of Gotham City, and she knows it all like the back of her hand. Every street, alley, sewer tunnel, and rooftop is like an old friend to her, and she has a close understanding of GCPD's techniques and crimefighting styles. -Powers: Anarkee has a latent ability to sense the emotions of people around her. She can use this to detect people through walls and to find deep desires, hopes, or fears. She also possesses a limited ability to boost those emotions to uncontrollable levels, though only for a single target at a time. For the most part, she chooses to forego her powers unless as a last resort. -Gadgets: --Emotional toxin bombs: Anarkee has developed a type of gas which manifests strong emotions when inhaled, and carries small vials of these concentrated gasses with her. She can induce rage, terror, euphoria, apathy, and many more emotions depending on which version of the toxin she uses. Often she will use them to start a riot, or create a distraction, or if she simply feels bored. --Concentrated release vents: Built into the linings of her gloves are a set of valves which can release a dose of her gas bombs in a limited scope, but much higher dosage. At these levels, anyone affected by them becomes uncontrollable, as their higher brain functions shut down due to over stimulation and animal instinct takes over. --Disguise kit: Anarkee has become adept at disguising her gadgets as harmless pranks, making her toxin bombs look like easter eggs, or birthday presents. Using a small set of tools and whatever is nearby, Anarkee can make her 'gifts' nearly invisible. -Weapons: --Weaponized boots and gloves: Anarkee has knives built into the soles of her shoes which extend with a kick. She has also built small razors into the fingertips of her gloves which are always extended. --Toxin bomb launcher: Anarkee has built a gun-like device capable of launching her toxin bombs over 100 feet, which then detonate on impact. --Rocket Hammer: Slung across her back, Anarkee carries a large mallet with an explosive charge on either side of the head. These charges detonate when they hit something with force, creating a miniature explosion capable of smashing through most walls or flipping cars. Civilian Occupation: Unknown, possible she does not have a civilian occupation. Biography--------- Character History/Origin: Much of Anarkee's life is a big question mark. It is unknown where she came from, what she did, who she used to be, or really anything else about her past. What is known is that One year ago she arrived in Gotham declaring herself the "Angel of Anarchy". Since then she had been involved in several heists, robberies, kidnappings, gang-related activities, and just about anything else. Strangely, in most cases the things she takes and the people she abducts turn up in one form or another. Objects and money are usually vandalized beyond repair, and her abductees are generally traumatized and it is estimated it will take years of therapy for them to reach normal society again. Those few who remember how to speak have relayed that she told them over and over: "It's not about you, or the things, or the money. It's about the fear. The anger. The chaos. It's anarchy. That's the payoff." One subject, in a particularly lucid moment, described an event during his time with Anarkee in which she saw a report on the masked vigilante Grim, and had what can only be described as a temper tantrum, ranting about "This other agent of chaos bringing order instead of anarchy, working outside of society to uphold it, that hypocrit!" It is suspected that Anarkee holds some type of grudge towards the vigilante Grim, and may be plotting some kind of confrontation. His forearms and lower body are covered in a skintight fabric of verdant green, designed to help him slip through the water with even greater ease.

Civilian Appearance: King Orin rarely sheds his royal garb, even among his home city. While on dry land, he will reluctantly be put into a tailored suit of black or dark blue.

Icon: N/A Costumed Personality: Aquaman is passionate about whatever situation is placed in front of him, but attempts to think first before rushing headlong into danger. As the king of Atlantis, he has been taught military tactics as well as political decorum. Aquaman tends to present a strong and stoic exterior to all but his most trusted allies. To' those he lets in, Aquaman shows a more tender side. He is very compassionate to the needs of others, even if he doesn't always understand the issue due to cultural and class differences. With friends and allies, Aquaman is often the first to try and make a joke or start smiling and acting jovial, as he understands the stresses and pressures that have been thrust upon him and others like him and knows to take joy in the little things. Civilian Personality: King Orin's personality is very similar to his more public persona. Super abilities: -Skills: --Peak Human Swimmer: Aquaman is the best swimmer the Earth has ever seen --Trained Combatant: King Orin has been trained from birth to be a warrior, ready to lead his people into battle --Trained Tactician: Since he was old enough to understand battlefield theory, Orin has been learning the Art of War --Trained Diplomat: A King must not only know how to fight. King Orin has been trained in negotiation and diplomacy -Powers: --Peak Amphibious Atlantean: Though all Atlanteans have the ability to survive in both air and water, King Orin has perfected the ability, able to leave the sea for periods of up to two weeks before needing to return to his watery home. --Enhanced senses: All of Aquaman's senses have evolved to a higher degree than the average human's, granting him superior eyesight, hearing, and smell. --Superhuman strength: Due to both his adaptations to underwater life and the uncontrolled magic in his blood, Aquaman is capable of superhuman feats of strength. At current, he can easily lift and throw a tank or an airliner, though his upper limit has not been found yet. --Superhuman endurance: Due to both his adaptations to underwater life and the uncontrolled magic in his blood, Aquaman is much more durable than any other normal human. He can shrug off blows that would have obliterated a normal man, run incredibly fast for a much longer time than normal, and react to situations with a speed that even a cat would be jealous of. --Energy resistance: Though not fully immune, Aquaman is resistant to most forms of heat-based or energy attacks. --Marine telepathy: As the rightful ruler of Atlantis, Aquaman has the ability to communicate with underwater life-forms, beckoning them to his aid. He tends to simply ask the sea creatures for their help if they wish to lend it, though he is able to simply impose his will if he desires. Aquaman is also able to communicate in a limited sense with 'The Clear', a force which he believes binds the minds of all sea life. Using that connection, he has found himself able to slightly influence the portion of land-based creatures minds which remains connected to their primordial forms. --Standard Telepathy: As an extension of his natural ability to command sea life, Aquaman has developed his telepathy to the point where he can communicate with more evolved brains, such as other humans. He has the ability to make his thoughts heard by others as well as to pick up on surface-level thoughts in those without some sort of mental shielding. He does not have the ability to implant suggestions or commands into other people. --Mental Resistance: Having seen the power of telepathic commands and suggestions, Aquaman has taken steps to prevent himself from falling prey to a powerful telepath. He has conditioned his mind using training, technology, and hints of magic to defend himself from mental intrusions. It may not be enough to fully stop the most powerful of mind-readers, but it will certainly slow them down and hinder their abilities. --Water-based magic: Due to his connection to the leylines of the world, Aquaman has found himself in possession of new powers he doesn't fully understand. At present, he is able to redirect the currents of the sea to his whim and to exert some control over the waves, though only while he is submerged in water. -Gadgets: --Atlantean Science: Atlantas was the most advanced nation on Earth before their continent sank beneath the waves. Simply because they were living beneath the sea did not mean this advanced civilization didn't stop advancing. Aquaman has access to the host of Atlantean technology -Weapons: --Trident of Neptune: An ancient relic carried by the King of Atlantis, the Trident of Neptune has many powerful magical abilities. It can control the seas, creating and directing tidal waves or whirlpools or solid columns of water. It can manipulate storms, transform creatures into other forms, or make something invisible. Its power was only recently reactivated with the appointing of a new Wizard, and so Aquaman is still learning how to control it. --Trident of Poseidon: Another relic of the ancient Kings, the Trident of Poseidon has a similar set of powers to its twin, though at a smaller scale. It has the ability to manipulate water and storms to a lesser extent than the Trident of Neptune, but it can also create water out of nothing and fire bolts of lightning. Aquaman has taken to carrying this Trident until he feels more mastery over the Trident of Neptune. Civilian Occupation: King, Ruler of the Lost Continent of Atlantis, Regent of the City of Poseidonis, and Emperor of the Oceans of the Earth. Biography--------- Character History/Origin: Orin was born to a long line of Atlantean royalty. He grew up in the lap of luxury, in the heart of the most advanced city on the planet. Though he wanted for nothing, his parents and tutors strived hard to impress upon him from a young age the need to care for others and protect those who could not defend themselves. These lessons would prove to be necessary sooner than anyone though, as both the King and Queen of Atlantis were killed while diverting a menacing colony of sentient jellyfish away from the city. Thrust onto a throne at the young age of 14, Orin soon found himself overwhelmed by the burdens of leadership. The boy would often steal away from the city and spend time among the ruins of Atlantis. It was there that Orin began to discover a small spark of magical energy within himself. He began to map the leylines of his home, finding once-rich veins of magic that had been used once to advance their society, now long since dried up. Still, the exercise proved useful, as it gave young Orin a sense of what Atlantis once was, and gave him the time and space to decide what type of leader he would be. Now, many years later, King Orin sits the throne of seas comfortably. He has led his people into an age of stability and relative peace, a rarity for the undersea kingdom. Until the leylines burst, that is. Several months ago, magical energy flooded the sunken continent, rocking the kingdom to its foundations. Magical energy sprang up not just from the ground, but out of the people as well, producing new sorcerers, wizards, and witches in an instant. King Orin felt his own latent abilities awaken as well, granting him even more power over his realm. After meeting his his historians and magical experts, King Orin concluded that the Wizard had chosen a successor, someone to safeguard all magic on Earth. This had rejuvenated the leylines and led to the newfound energies. King Orin decided it would be prudent to meet with this new Wizard and make them aware of the existence of Atlantis, and perhaps to judge the situation of the surface world as well, to see if they were ready for the reveal of their undersea bretheren...
