Herold was on edge, his shotgun out and ready. The barrel positioned at every doorway, every corner, every creak of the complex they traversed. The drones were unexpected, but not entirely a bad thing. He'd used a few before in his time back on some of the less explored worlds he had brought the Imperium's justice on. But redirecting their programming was beyond his skill. Luckily he wasn't alone up there. Once they made it to the vantage point, he couldn't make out the five Orks that were being eliminated. He didn't even have a weapon that could reach him, his shotgun built for short range devastation. However, he set up his shield over the closest opening that the enemy could give return fire in, setting it down and shoving it in place with his maul, before un-holstering his shotgun once more. He might not be able to do much at the moment for the group, but they wouldn't be caught unawares on his watch either.
