His personality rarely points to him being aloof, but he is not the center of attention if he has that choice. He’s often ambitious of his own goals, to which he constantly updates. Ryuu does not believe in failure and thinks everything is a stepping stone. Short Biography: Ryuu was born on September 1st, 1997 in Maebashi, Japan to two lovely parents, Sora and Daichi. Ryuu had been an only child to the two, living in their tightly knit community. Up until junior high, Ryuu had very few interests. He had entered the school’s swimming team, finding his love for swimming there and began to become competitive with it. As his competitiveness ran through, his grades began to spark to start an epic track record as he had big dreams to be a swimmer. Being young, Ryuu didn’t know any better. After a couple years of junior high, his parents had sat him down and talked to him about moving to America. After hours on end of arguments with his parents, Ryuu regrettably gave in as he had no choice in the matter. Ryuu was forced to say goodbye to his friends there to begin a new life in America, a foreign territory that seemed like such a gross mystery. An entirely different culture that cast a shadow on the world, and it was time to escape the shadow and move out of the darkness to the land of opportunity. At least, that’s the way Ryuu’s dad put it. The first few days in America were hell. Of course, Ryuu had been learning English before moving, but everything was so different and complicated. Nevertheless, Ryuu had moved into a small community called Darkwell. A city that didn’t seem to have any home to it to him. The only thing that was remotely special was getting to see his grandparents for the first time, and that was a blast. Visiting them gave him some happiness as the American culture drained on him, giving him an odd vibe in unknown waters. As the parents settled in, they had sent off Ryuu to the high school, something unfamiliar to him. He entered as an exchange student from Japan, and that’s all he became known as his first couple weeks there. It took him a while to get used to things, as expected, but it took more of a toll than it was worth day by day. This attitude continued up until he found his passion. The school had started swimming up and Ryuu had found out about it once one of his teachers recommended it to him after hearing Ryuu answer one of the ice breakers with his love for swimming. Thus, Ryuu’s life took a turn. The glorious pool, a bright blue shimmering sight as he looked out to it. The lanes were set up perfectly, stripes across this awesome canvas. The world went silent as he looked out, taking everything in. Then, the whistle was blown. Before he knew it, he was in the water, cutting through like a shark chasing its prey. The prey was the gold, the first place, the fastest in the pool. In record time, Ryuu had dominated the 100m butterfly, showing off his impressive speed in only his first year on the team. As his passion grew, his popularity on the team did as well. He gained new friends from the sport and had started to become comfortable with American culture as they exchanged with him each other's cultures, teaching each other as much as they could about American culture and Japanese culture, something Ryuu took pride in. Ryuu went on throughout high school, beginning to get noticed by some outsiders of the sport as Ryuu crushed the competition and began breaking records in the water for the school. Ryuu eventually dominated not only the school but others as he brought them to championships, becoming proud of his work in his first year. As the year ended, the team vowed to stay together and become as good as Ryuu so that one day, they could all become professional swimmers and go for the real gold, the Olympics. High school went on and time seemed to get short as years went by. Eventually, Ryuu was named team captain and lead the team to nationals, becoming a school champion and would go down in the halls of history, trophies dedicated to Ryuu. However, this glory would go in vain as high school neared its end. Ryuu’s parents had been happy for his success, following him every step of the way. However, swimming had not been their plans for his life and begun to push him in the direction of the college. Ryuu had been crushed at first, as his parents desperately pushed for him to pursue a career in nursing, and give up his life of swimming. Ryuu had accepted their idea, but only under the condition that he would be allowed to join the college’s swim team to pursue his own goals while getting his education. His parents thought long and hard, but accepted his wishes and made the promise to send him to college. After the year was over, Ryuu said goodbye to his friends as he told them his crushing plans, watching them all go their separate paths. Ryuu’s grades weren’t good enough to get to the best schools, but they were good enough to earn him a free ride at Darkwell Community College, as they offered a scholarship under the proposition that’d he swim for them. He agreed under one condition, to get his associate’s degree in nursing and pursue both goals at the same time, a rigorous task. After speaking with the local hospital, it was agreed upon that he would work with them and attend Darkwell, starting his path to make his mark in the world. This is Ryuu’s story, and now we will tell the rest. Other: "It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop."
Finished.
