The boring bits... It was time for another update to my search thread but I also wanted to take the opportunity to completely redo my formatting. This place is where I keep my collection of prompts/ideas/things that have never gotten traction. I’ve decided they need to stop gathering dust so I’ve listed them here. Now it’s fair to say I’m a high-casual/low-advanced writer on average and that makes me a bit picky with what I do. One thing I often do is ask that someone “sell it to me.” It’s an old habit from reddit and what I want is simply to show a bit of effort that they want to commit to this. Typically I’ll ask people to give me a prospective introductory post for this. It’s a great way to see your character/plot ideas and to gauge your writing style. Don’t freak out though; I’m not judging you very much at all so no pressure. I am not a smut writer. I like to get this out of the way up front because it was a huge issue during my time on reddit. I’ll let a romance plot get a bit steamy but at a point I cut if off and fade to black. That’s just how I roll. This is mostly to do with me not being nearly as a good a writer in this area – and I am my worst critic and hate it when my writing doesn’t hold up against itself – and because it’s just not interesting to me. That’s not what I write for. Remember going forward into my thread that I do make a distinction between a romantic plot and X-rated fanfic material. You may have one but you will not get the other, period. I’ve denoted the varying levels of romance different prompts cater to at each prompt, as well as any other important heads-ups such as dark themes or graphic violence. Do be aware I do not shy away from characters swearing (some more than others). My opening posts can get quite lengthy – my personal record here sits at 2100 words – into the 800-1500 range but my normal posts are considerably shorter, usually sitting between 200 and 500 comfortably. They vary depending on just how much content I have to work with when writing them (the more you give me, the more I can often give back). At the very least, please give me 50+ words. Any less and I feel like the effort I am investing is not being reciprocated and our relationship as partners will likely not last in such cases. So now that you have read through the important/boring stuff, the prompts are down below. Important information is front-facing while the plot details and writing samples are tucked behind expanders.
The Frontier is not your playground. A Dieselpunk western story with optional low fantasy elements (a physics-based magic system). I write for a female character and will pair her up against either gender. Romance is optional, but can go pretty far. I have a couple of plot ideas and am open to suggestions. High potential for violence.
The frontier: lawless, dangerous, and not a place for a young runaway. Samantha Whitmore disagrees with that assessment. She’s full of herself, has the skills with a rifle to match that ego, and doesn’t realize just how easily a single mistake can kill you on the frontier. She’s a runaway from a wealthy family and lives now as a traveler and crew for hire out in the frontier. She’s often a flirt, a player, and not afraid to be a total heartbreaker. For further reading, she has a fairly complete character sheet for your viewing pleasure.
An alternate version of this can strip the dieselpunk airship elements in favor of a classic western story for those who might be interested.
The tragedy of young Lady Karra. Star Wars fandom over several possible eras: Old Republic, Clone Wars, early Galactic Empire, & post-Galactic Empire. Lady Karra is a young girl in most of these eras and I prefer a male character opposite her. I will accept a force-sensitive of either gender however. Most likely nonromantic though a handful of options can be discussed. I lack plot ideas and greatly appreciate suggestions. High potential for violence. Any enticing intro I could enclose in expanders is also contained in Karra’s extensive character sheet and I encourage you to take a read if you’re at all interested.
What did you expect from the Daughter of a warlord? Modern romance/crime drama type story surrounding a dangerous twist on the forbidden relationship cliché and taking a bit of inspiration from Burn Notice. Obviously a romantic plot, can sometimes go pretty far depending on the character compatibility. I’m very picky about that compatibility since I hate forced romances. Looking for male characters primarily but I can be persuaded by well-written female characters. Graphic violence throughout.
Natalie Cole is just another Miami Beach resident at first glance. That isn’t her given name though, merely an alias she adopts to hide the truth: that she’s Natalia Maria Salazar, an illegal immigrant and daughter of a cartel bigwig. The last thing anyone needed to know is that she's the daughter of Dante Ramirez Salazar: head of the Los Reyes de Muerte cartel and one of the biggest importers of cocaine from Columbia to the US. The cartel trained her to be a sniper and an assassin. She had her first high-power rifle at age 12; she killed her first mark at 14. Three years later her uncle – a cartel retiree - helped smuggle her stateside away from the life of a killer. The cartel would later find and kill him for his betrayal. Years later, the cartel rolls up on Miami Beach shipping in guns and cocaine. With her old life knocking on her doorstep once again, she fell back on what she knew best: solving problems with brains, wit, and bullets. She pairs against a federal agent heading the FBI’s investigation into the cartel’s new Miami operations. Meanwhile she proceeds to eliminate the cartel problem by slaying them all. The bodies she drops are dead suspects, witnesses, and leads to the bureau, making the mystery hitman high on their priority list. But what happens when the investigation's senior special agent is sleeping with the shooter? What happens to the two of them when the secret slips?
The parts of the plot relating to how she interacts and what events transpire between her and many of the cartel higher-ups she would have known back in Columbia are partially written already through my own personal stories I’ve worked on with this character. However the dynamic between her and the fed is completely unwritten which is what this will focus on. Hunted. Another crime drama/thriller featuring this character, this time with a bit of styling from Jason Bourne and franchise. Romance is much more optional with this prompt and will not go quite as far. I’m thus less picky about prospective characters here. I still strongly prefer males here but I do take females as well. Graphic violence still applies but likely in less quantity.
Years later, Natalie has fled the states to take refuge in Eastern Europe. The cartel was destroyed, what was left of her family is dead, and she managed a spot on the FBI’s most wanted list. Everything is quiet and peaceful for her abroad until she’s contacted by a so-called “broker” seeking to connect her to a client of his who “requested her specifically”. A CIA operative-turned-target wants her help going on the run. Natalie living in the shadows is suddenly thrown front and center into the spotlight as a global CIA-run manhunt closes in on the agent and her with him. Whether she wants to or not, she’s been hired for one last job: protect the asset and survive.

Vengeance has consumed you. A medieval era story exploring the idea of how an evil queen comes to be. If humans are naturally good at heart then how does someone become the monster that can raze and murder indiscriminately? THIS ONE GETS VERY DARK VERY FAST. PMs only here for dark themes, graphic violence, very 18+. I’m open to a variety of possible character pairings for either gender. Lyra is a character that really doesn’t do romance for many reasons. There are a few edge-case exceptions that can be discussed if you really want it.
Lyra Blackwell, adopted daughter of the king. Ten years ago she was nobody. Now she stands ready to inherit the kingdom. Everyone knows she was rescued from the dungeon – a suspected rebel to be tortured and broken – but nobody saw past the magically well-adjusted girl she was now. Nobody saw the true Lyra: a woman whose wrath would spare nothing and no one. The rebels that sent her to a fate worse than death, the jailor who had his way with her, even the king who let it happen for months on end, would all pay for their sins against her. The king would go first, and in his demise the throne would be hers. With power in hand, no one who she sought vengeance upon would be safe. Satan himself could not instill the fear in his victims that Lyra could.

So this post isn’t finished (are these ever?). There’s still more prompts I want to add (some fantasy, some sci-fi, who knows what else!), more information I’ve omitted, and awesome writing snippets for some of these for your reading pleasure. If you want to catch these updates in case one of them is just what you’ve wanted, do subscribe. If you have questions, feel free to ask below. If you want to send me a pitch, here in the thread or straight to my inbox are both preferable. Thanks for sticking around this far!
