Ezra kinda gets that, but he's only been on Earth for a few years and has managed to find a somewhat safe niche for himself in Coast City. John probably doesn't know anything about aliens or even what kind he is, I think Ezra, John, and Ira would benefit knowing each other and being all alien-y together
