Silas Asara
Silas watched the other pair with a mix of curiosity and anticipation, keeping his guard up just in case Felix tried to pull something. He didn't really believe that Felix was looking out for his safety, how could he be being honest? This was the same kid who insulted the whole school and threatened him, not to mention that he was apparently planning to kick him out behind his back. There was no way he was being sincere, this had to be a cowardly facade! I'm too smart for that Felix, I see right through your bullshit! Not only was he threatened by Felix, but now he had the gall to try and lie to his face as well? He might as well be spitting in Silas's face at this point! Involuntarily his face shifted from a look of confusion to one of disdain and disgust for the boy standing before him. He could feel a storm rising inside of him, waves of anger crashing into each other, threatening to become an unstoppable, uncontrollable maelstrom of rage. "Silas, come on... Can we please just go?" Yet just as fast as the emotional tempest gathered was it dispelled by Vera's plea for retreat. Silas looked over his shoulder and as his gaze met her face, he knew that they should leave, even if it was only for her sake. Felix was in the wrong here, Silas had no doubts about that, but there was no reason for him to let Vera witness or get caught up in his anger. He closed his eyes for a brief moment, and exhaled as he turned to face the girl at his side. "Fine... we'll leave" He said just loud enough for her to hear. "It's easy to hurt yourself if you get careless. Imagine how easy it would be to hit someone else. Now.. add in the powers we all have. To make a burning pyre with a thought. How could I not be worried?" The other boy's words brought him back to his senses, as he spun back around to face him. In fairness, Silas could see why their powers could be cause for worry, but they were still without any real training of how to use them. What was the worst they could manage? The strongest use of elemental power from a first year he'd seen was Zafi's explosion in the hall earlier today, and even that was only a minor annoyance. There was no way that Felix was capable of something powerful enough to really hurt him, right? Felix kept talking, but his words fell on deaf ears as Silas was more focused on what he would say next. He needed to make sure Felix knew he wasn't scared of him, and that he didn't buy his excuse. "You want me out? Fine I'll go, but don't think your threats had any impact. I'm doing this because I want to. I'll be in there for a few minutes after this to pack up my things. Then I'll fuck off and you wont have so much to 'worry' about." He hissed to the other boy, his tone venomous and spiteful. He watched with folded arms as Felix bowed and took the other girl with him, and finally he and Vera were alone again. "Right then, let's get going." He said as his former anger seemed to fade from both his face and demeanor. The path was like a serpent, coiling around and beside itself, the trees and fog only adding to the feeling of confinement. Silas could've sworn he heard rumbling, but he chalked it up to it being one of their stomachs seeing as they had been out here for so long. Something he did notice however, was a thin stream of water running down the side of the path. Just further ahead there was a very large puddle, serene and undisturbed covering one side of the path, presumably the source of the stream. As it was, it was an oddity and nothing more than that , though a certain feeling of dread had crept over him. "Vera... something's not right about this..." He whispered to her, unsure if there was any real danger or if his vigilance was turning into paranoia. [@Zelosse][@Raptra]
