So the other reason that's been holding me back is working on developing Leon as a shaman (as that's really what his skill set TECHNICALLY is with the use of Tiki's) and trying to really nail down which tikis are which. In that process, I was reminded about the use of masks and how important those are so that kinda got added in and I worked on balancing those into Leon's extended it. So now we have Ku which is a tribal Hawaiian mask of war and it has a spirit of war in it. This is a genuine artifact that Leon would have collected and now uses. The major trade-off is that this spirit is well aware of the position he is in and requires bargains from Leon in the form of offerings in many forms. Tiny offering tiny ability. Mostly it's protection things, but Ku could probably also give Leon a bit of extra strength if he asked for it (or fishing luck if he wanted Ku is a being of many random things https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K%C5%AB ) But simply put this is a risk-reward trade-off that Leon can employ. Ku can also change his form to hide, so he'll often become a hat or sunglasses. I just felt the tikis were more passive and would be tools that Leon could use to secure areas, but aren't really effective if he has to keep hauling them around everywhere. Ku lets him have an on the go tiki, but with some risks also a nice darker question for the detective of what he's willing to do. If it's a no or there are any thoughts I have an alt post ready with Leon getting more generic stuff (as the original one was just a warding totem that was fairly generic and based on the one I mentioned in the character post)
