Greetings. I am so glad that you decided to drop by. Please don't run away yet, I promise I don't bite... often. Alright, so to the point. I'm looking for a roleplay partner that will hopefully stick around with me for the long term-- though of course, shorter roleplays are fine with me too! I just really want to find someone who I can get along with, someone who won't ditch after a few weeks without warning, someone who matches my ideals for roleplaying. I try not to be too picky... Also, quick note. No smut. Please. Romance? Sure. Smut? No.
I put the casual and advanced tag on here, though I confess I debated taking out the advanced one. I do write more than a paragraph, typically 5+ paragraphs if I have enough to respond to. I think that deserves an advanced tag according to the definition, but I was afraid I might disappoint. -_- I tend to post anywhere from every 3 to 7 days depending on how excited I am about what is currently happening. Of course, there's also school now that that's starting up again. (Which is why I'm crazy for putting up a check right at the start of school.) However, there are times when I need to take a break (typically ranging from a few days to a week, rarely more) when everything going around me becomes overwhelming, and I need to take a break to get back up again. I try not to do this too often, but I'm warning you. It happens. Recently I've found myself putting my health and real life before rping, whereas I used to sit at the computer and let work pile just so I could type out an extra post. If you too, have periods when you need to take a break, I understand. If I like the story we're writing, I'm willing to wait too. Roleplaying both in threads and in PM is fine with me. Of course posting in threads gets your post count up nicely, but there are benefits for PM as well. Actually, I recently have come up with a different way of doing 1x1s that I might find interesting to try, if you're willing to try it along with me.
So, probably most of you are familiar with collaborating a post when two or more characters start a longer, more involved conversation or are doing something that requires a lot of reactions from the other character(s). I was thinking that it might be interesting to do a 1x1 kind of like a giant collab, so that contributions to the 1x1 turn out to be in the form of often shorter bits of writing. This is to prevent writing past a point when the other character might have wanted to interrupt of refuse to go along with something. By writing shorter parts that don't move as far, the two characters can interact in a way that becomes easier, and is more true to their character. In posting form, it is possible to edit a post so the other character can get in there to do their thing, but it can become annoying after a while. It's also faster than typing out a full post each time, if some people find it hard to get an entire post together of a nice length every few days. This would still sort of be done in a thread/PM. You could put the link for the place you are doing this collab (a etherpad, piratepad, word document, etc. Can be discussed.) in the thread, and then every time you have a good length of collab, take turns posting it in the thread. Again, it's just something I came up that I thought might be interesting to try. I haven't tried it before, so it might turn out to be a horrible idea. But if you find it as interesting as I do, perhaps we can swing at it together.
I usually play female characters, and that is often my preference. However, I have played one or two males in my time, so depending on the circumstance I might play a male character instead. MxF pairings are the most common with me, though I am willing to try a FxF. No MxM, please. I could go on forever about my preferences, what I normally do when rping, [abbr=An obvious one, though, is running off without telling me in advance. I think everyone hates that.]pet peeves[/abbr], etc. But I will leave this section alone for now. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to pester me. In fact, I won't even think of it as pestering.

Oh yay, here we go. I'll try not to sound too much like some cranky overbearing person. First thing, posting. I'd love it if you could more or less keep to the same posting regularity that I do. Faster is great too! Slower? Talk to me about it, and if we decide we like each other enough, I'll wait. And wait. As long as you keep me posted, I'll wait. I would love a bit of a faster response if we go with my idea, but... if not that's okay. About keeping me posted. As very briefly mentioned above, please please please don't run off for weeks and months without telling me. K? I know that sometimes there can be absolute emergencies, but even a few words saying you don't have time to continue for around [insert time frame here] works. You don't have to tell me all the details if you don't want to. Casual or Advanced posting to match. That's pretty explanatory. Make an effort to use proper grammar, don't text speak, don't do one-liners, etc. I may look for posts you have done in the past (or ask you for some) before we begin, just to make sure I think we can work together. If you want to see mine, ask or stalk my page! [s]I don't have pages containing posts with one number from the count up/down till 1000 game anymore, so don't worry.[/s] Seriously? I can't think of anything else to add. I might add on later if I think of something, but that's all. As long as you're fine with what I have written about myself, I think that is it. Next part.
Plots and pairings Note: I don't do fandoms. Here are some pairings that don't have any particular plot to go with them, so we can hash that part out together. In bold is the role I would prefer to play. That doesn't mean I absolutely won't switch, but still... preferred. If nothing is bolded, I'm fine with both! I couldn't come up with a lot, so feel free to suggest some. [sub][s]It's really bothering me that I can't center this hider while keeping the contents aligned to the left, please don't mention it.[/s][/sub]

Vampire x Human
Supernatural x Hunter
Supernatural x Human
Test subject x Test subject
Test subject x Human
Human x Human in a setting that is hopefully a bit more interesting than a slice of life school rp?
Rich child x Poor child
Lost outsider to a place x Native (Like in a strange city?)

Next, the plots I have thought out. Some of these, as you will notice, seem more like a group kind of rp, except there is a sort of "special" character in each. For these, I would play most or all of the excess characters, while you would play the odd special character (and a "group" character too, if you'd like). Your character would then meet with the rest and form relations and views on the rest. I view these plots as being a sort of "writing exercise"... except not. These would help me learn to adapt multiple characters (like if writing a book) to a situation I can't control, because the "main" or "special" character isn't being controlled by me. While still having fun. And keeping me motivated because I'm writing with another person. Personal opinion? I think those plots (the ones mentioned above) might work better with my collab esque idea since it would involve more characters that will often be in the same place, each trying to do their own thing and possibly blocking out your character. But again, optional. We can make it work in thread/PM. Now finally, after I've blabbed on and on, to the plots!
Multiple characters I'm having a weird preference for this character being a girl, but that's up to you. Age would be anywhere from 13-18. A teenage girl/boy is browsing online for summer camps that aren't above what their parents are willing to pay, and something that isn't too far away. They come across one that looks suitable. The form, when they begin to fill it out, has the normal questions that a usual summer camp would need to know the answers to... but also a weird section. The questions in this section lead them to believe that this camp has a supernatural theme, as it mentions vampires, werewolves, and the like. (I can give an example of the form she saw if you would like.) Perhaps they think it's just fun, perhaps they have an obsession with the supernatural, perhaps they aren't crazy about it but decide to go for it anyway. Whatever the reason, they fill out the form, get their parents to sign, and submit it. Acception comes a week or two later. Once they arrive at camp though, they realize that something isn't right. This place... it... actually does have faeries, vampires, werewolves, etc. They are totally out of place in a strange place, and have no idea what will happen if it is found out that they are not supernatural. What do they do?

After much controversy, fights, battles, a war... the magic people of this world are forced to live separately, inside walls that leech their magic should they exit. These magic people are allowed to govern themselves, but are still considered part of the main world. As a part of the compromise that was made, every weekday the walls are opened to allow mixing of magic and non magic people, though it is easier for the non magic to enter the walls than it is for the magic to leave. But every night the walls close, and every weekend they stay shut until Monday comes again. Your character enters these walls, but gets lost/looses track of the time. As a result, they get shut inside... on a Friday night. The walls open for no one once they have been shut, and so your character is trapped inside for the weekend. They will probably discover him lurking inside their walls soon, and no one knows what these strange magic people do once the walls are closed... because no one has been allowed inside during such a time before. Your character will meet the magic people inside the walls and we will rp out what they do/what happens to them.. We can either do this as one of those group-ish rps, or I'll play one main character that they interacts with more. Either way, I probably will have a sort of main character. I also have many more ideas regarding this plot, so I would be happy to discuss those ideas with you.

Multiple charactersI'll explain this one in more detail if anyone is interested. But for now, a very brief summary since I have a ton of ideas for this. Some people have been getting magic powers, how they don't exactly know (though they may have ideas). But my behind the scenes idea is that they get these powers when in some dire situation. They get a burst of their power then, and then it goes away for a while. Then their power starts flashing on and off, uncontrollably. Finally, it stabilizes and they can use it whenever they want... except sometimes a curse comes with it. Nothing much, though. So basically, there is a group of these people, who try and find more just turned magic people. Setting is kind of medieval-ish, by the way. Your character would be a newly turned magic person. I had an idea that something different in this world would be that it is undergoing "purification", so people with diseases, those that are sick, have disabilities, etc, are being hunted down. This part doesn't have to happen, I just think it makes things more interesting. Wow, that was vague. Anyway, ask me for more information if you'd like!

So. There's a vampire on the loose. Perhaps there are a few rumors here and there, but mostly it's being covered up by those who are hunting it. One day, the vampire is chased to an area that your character is in. Weaker than usual and low on blood, the vampire grabs your character as "hostage", threatening to kill your character if they come closer. Maybe because your character is the child of a high ranking person, or simply because the hunters are wary of causing the death of a child, but the hunters hesitate. While holding the hunters at bay, the vampy feeds on your character (I know, it sounds bad.) until they are strong enough to escape. I'm thinking this is before guns and high power weapons. But when the vampire escapes, they take your character along as a food source. Before, the vampire didn't want to capture one person to constantly feed on because it was a hassle, and because they couldn't find someone who tasted right. (That also sounds bad.) So the vamp picked out a person every once in a while, fed, and then left. But of course, it was easier to be tracked this way. So then we get back to the story, where the vampire has decided to just keep your character with them because your character tastes so good! From there, they are stuck together. This strikes me as an idea that has a good possibility for romance, if you're interested in that.

This is the standard "end of the world" survival thing. Last few people on the earth, meet, join together eventually, etc. Still, it's something I wouldn't mind doing. We can have one character each, or I can do that group thingy where there is an entire group of survivors. I was also thinking that to make things more interesting, these people actually got the sickness/whatever caused this apocalypse, and got quite sick, but in the end managed to pull out. Instead of getting it, but never feeling the effects. When they recover, they realize that there is now something wrong with them. Maybe they have some disability, have been lamed, convulse every once in a while, fall sick every month, are able to do _____, are unable to do _____ etc.
Now, I do have to say I'm eager to see if anyone is going to approach me for any of these. So though I may add more lately, I'm posting this now! Suggesting additional plots is always welcome. If you're interested, PM me or post in this thread!
