I was thinking of a scientist/someone incredibly gifted in science or ~something~ trying to work alongside magic users and The Guild - her vision is to help bring back peace and trust between non magic and magic folk. Sorry if this is vague - it's late and I'm not at my computer or else I'd create a character sheet to try and explain/expand.
