It's been seven years since she left small town West Virginia for bigger and better things, and six since her heartbroken sweetheart enlisted in the military. Now a high flying professional, she receives a call that her estranged father is deathly ill and needs her to come home. Wanting the rest of her inheritance, she arrives in rural, but beautiful Thornton's Point to find things have changed...and that the townsfolk all believe she abandoned them - particularly so her former love, who was medically discharged after sustaining injuries in battle. All she wants is to settle her familial affairs as quickly as possible and get the hell back to civilization, but something holds her. Confronted by all the ghosts of her past, she eventually realizes she's missed home more than she thought. But as old feelings bubble back to the surface, she must decide to either stay and mend broken ties, or leave again - and for real this time.[/hider]

Hi, marigolds here. This is a new account but I am most definitely not new to roleplaying, and have been doing it for about a decade.

This was a plot bunny that had been hopping in my head for a while [sup](and yes, I was inspired by music and pictures of gorgeous Harpers Ferry)[/sup]; I originally planned on turning this into a story, but I decided to put this up and see if anyone was keen on roleplaying it. This tale will contain heartbreak, angst, hurt/comfort, tragedy, alcoholism, and other soap opera-esque dramatic elements. Therefore, I need a talented partner who is able to write descriptively and turn words into something beautiful. I don't require a novel for every post - three to four paragraphs will do - but I do want quality writing. I'd also like us to continue plotting as we go along.
