Listen that is way too vague and weird. I feel like you're trying to be clever, and going about it in the most roundabout manner with your powers, which isn't actually being clever and just doesn't work for the tone of DMC. You're apparently planning on "destroying the memory" of a mindless lesser demon when most people would just shoot it in the face.
Also eye-contact hypnosis doesn't flow well for action. You're tying up one mook but you're taken out of action for the duration.
In short, this game is cheesy action nonsense, and that power does not work for cheesy action nonsense.

Look, they're Dracula knives, right? If it were me, I'd personally drop the hypnosis, and have the knives either life-drain enemies, or crystalize blood to make blood-swords.
