To say the evening went as expected would be a lie on Evelyn's part. Upon arrival she had expected to find a usurper sitting atop the throne of Camelot surrounded by military tacticians, treasurers, and perhaps a mage or two. Instead she found herself in the company of various oddities and abominations, some among them being nothing more than base creatures she would cut down had they not been a part of this fellowship. As of the moment, Alysse appeared to be the only one here of worth to The Veiled Mother. However, their crusade had only just begun and she was sure more potential allies would reveal themselves...as well as new threats. To her surprise, the voice of reason revealed itself among them. While she did agree with Ester that cooperation was to everyone's benefit, she did not share her sympathy towards the state of the realm. In truth, Evelyn cared very little about Camelot for it was not her home but rather outlander territory. In an ideal world she would prefer this land to remain in disarray, never to pose threat to Tyrvald. Unfortunately, in order to reclaim her throne her assistance in bringing order to this land was necessary. "Bartuc, could you please find our rooms for us?", with her gentle tone masking her true nature she then turned back towards her newfound friend. "I believe it is time for me to take to my chambers. It has been a pleasure, Alysse, should you happen to pass by my chambers, I implore you to pay a visit. There is much more I wish to discuss with you in confidence", without another word The Veiled Mother left the company of the hall with Bartuc, a low almost silent whispering becoming ever more faint as their presence exited the room. Through the halls of her new home, Evelyn was plagued by the echoes of the restless souls tethered to this place. Vestiges of the damned calling out to a world no longer their own. 'If only you'd been born Tyrvaldi, perhaps your lives would still be your own', her somber thoughts leading her mind towards times she'd rather forget. Bartuc had entered the room first, searching for signs of intrusion before allowing his master to enter with a nod of approval. Evelyn's eyes slowly went across the room, not in search of danger but rather to simply take in what would be her home for the foreseeable future. "I can imagine we've much to look forward to come morning. Hopefully our lord provides further guidance in the coming days. For now rest well, my friend, much work lies ahead of us", Evelyn waited till Bartuc left before removing her veil. It wasn't that she felt uncomfortable around him, in truth it was quite the opposite. Something about removing her veil felt as if it required some level of privacy. With the veil removed, her true self was revealed. Her steely grey eyes appearing calm yet focused as she made her way behind the folding screen. Once out of her formal wear her long brown hair fell just a short way past her shoulders. Her fair skin marked with infrequent scars along the length of her body told the story of the warrior queen. Her room was comprised of a small lounge at the entrance, a luxurious bedroom beyond it, and bathroom of equal quality to the bedroom. The last time she had spent a night in a room like this was prior to her leaving Tyrvald to prepare to inherit the throne. Once again her mind traveled back to times to painful to remember. Stepping into the bath she relaxed her body within the warm water, hoping to ease her mind and focus attention towards preparations for the future. She would follow the orders of Lancelot, despite being a foreign king he was the servant of her Lord whether he knew it or not. As for the others...time would tell where their loyalties lay. He came without warning, a sudden voice whose arrival Evelyn was more than familiar with.
