[@Crimmy] There were indeed monster and tomahawk destroids on the SDF-1, but I'd prefer players to be veritech pilots. Fox Squadron is a veritech squadron anyway, wouldnt make sense for a veritech pilot to not be in a veritech.

Having one person off as a destroid pilot ruins the flow of the party doing small unit tactics and stuff- yes in space battles a Monster or a Tomahawk could be sitting on top of the SDF-1 providing long range support, but on any ground mission or mission that takes the party away from the SDF-1, the destroids are kind of SOL.
