The Republic of Ram started out in way ward island or what remains of that island calling it the blasted port, because there was barely enough land for everyone the land was primarily reserved for shopping and the few remaining yachts were converted into makeshift houses the foundations of what would be later known as the confederations of the few lands. 

Because of this system the confederation flourished as a result and expanded to more islands to come, this islands include the sugarcane island of sweet tooth, and the citrus island of broken rock island. 

Soon after this prosperity however will not go unnoticed as a large group of raiders boarded one of their ship towns(what they call there ship borne settlements) killing everyone and taking everything of value later burning it down after, this event was later known as the sinking incident.

This incident was the start of the collapse of the confederation, as immediately after the incident slavers from the mainland started setting up shop in the area and started invading smaller ship town and without much resistance as the confederation on that time were bows and a wooden club at most.

Despite the confederation have tried to mount a counter attack against the slavers their inept in combat and being most of them were conscripted and without training, the attacks just added more slaves for the slavers to sell, after several failed defenses and campaigns by the incompetent leaders of the confederations collapsed. 

With the collapse, the slavers in the area increased in power and was firmly secured and with the confederation gone they were free to operate in the remains of what was key west island.

Because of the collapse of the confederation and the continued operation of the slavers it would be several years later until civilization rose in the shattered remains of the island, the kingdom of Citirus or what would be later be known as the republic of Ram.

After the fall of the confederation most of the ship towns were either destroyed, abandoned or either was captured by slavers and raiders.

The remaining lands were still farmlands but instead of willing farmers, slaves and slavers are all there was left of them.

On the plantation of broken rock, a slave revolt led by Jackson Grey took place ending in the destruction of one of the surrounding ship towns and the defeat of the slaver gang the red spears, and with their victory the founding of the kingdom of Citirus. 

After securing the island and its nearby ship towns, King Jackson led his men to the reclaim the other islands and to drive off the slavers from their islands, a campaign later known as the key west campaign a bloody war that ended in the destruction of most of the ship towns and the eventually the successful reclamation of all the islands of the confederation.

Though the campaign was successful the damage however was too much for the kingdom as the loss of the ship towns meant fewer housing and space for its people forcing them to migrate to the main land, Florida.  

With a handful of makeship ships and ready hearts they sent out to find better lands, all equipped with their crossbow in hand they set sail landing on the south of Florida seeing and seeing its majesty for the first time seeing land that seems to have no end. 

The land was fertile and teeming with fauna and flora from Hard wood to Soft wood ideal to construction and ship building, with the wood they constructed the town of Citirus landing the Capital now famous for its harbors that always teeming with activity. 

But the resources that permanently made them settle in permanently was the discovery of bees and sugar canes in the region with they started farming immediately, Though the location was still primarily under the control of raiders.

If the kingdom of Citirus wants to take up roots they would need to annihilate the raiders that plague, Florida. 

As Jackson and his men set out to get rid of the raiders the swamp lands of Florida where most of the bandits took up residents, the campaign ended with a few skirmishes ending in the defeat of the kingdoms forces. 

The defeat was highly due to being the terrain being unfavorable to the tactics of the kingdoms forces and the troops were fitted with gear not suitable to the environment if the kingdom wanted to eradicate the raiders they would need to reform their armies and their tactics. 

After a few months of reforming the army, the Citirus rangers was formed composed by the armies most experience men, these men goal are to perform search-and-destroy tactics weakling the enemy and if possible elimination of the enemy.

Because of the rangers being better trained and much more discipline, Jackson started a new campaign to get rid of the raiders, one that he won easily, as the rangers easily eliminated the unorganized forces of the raiders erasing their presence from southern Florida forever. 

This victory increased the sphere of influences of the Citirus kingdom in Florida as some of the villages have merged with the ever-growing kingdom and because of this the kingdom easily expanded in size, population and territory now up to what was once Miami. 

As the kingdom expanded further inland, one of the villages near Miami was harvesting potash in the crater of what was once The city, Potash is a resource that is plentiful around the area but the kingdom heeds it no mind as it didn’t seem very important at the time.

At first Frederick Henry, (the kingdom’s master of the land a title Jackson gives to people he trusts enough to take charge of the resource harvesting in land) didn’t cared until they told him what was so important with it, it was salt.

Salt was hard to find around the kingdom and the demand was high, they had his interest and soon a small dedicated mining facility was soon established under the control of the village.

The introduction of salt to the kingdom was well received increasing morale of the population and with the annihilation of the remaining bands of bandits left, the populous was eager to explore and expand further inland in search of these resources.

Since the economy expanded and barter trade was too much and coral ain't good enough to serve as money anymore leading them to use bee hive pieces, hard to make and hard to duplicate and soon was used to trade goods this however caused the establishment of the banking guild.   

Because of the following events independent groups separated from the kingdom have started to grow in size, these establishments were known as the Banking guild, the Exploration guild, and the Engineering guild.

The Banking guild were influencing the prices of the different products in the kingdom eliminating competition and after stagnating the markets as new products that didn’t have the banks approval didn’t have a chance. 

The Exploration guild was using the populous pioneering fever to exploit hopeful individuals dreams of making anew out in the wilderness and because of this the populous exploration fever started to die off.

The Engineering guild unlike the other two was doing useful to the kingdom as they designed the first guns the kingdom ever had, thunder sticks they call it, and it had only one shoot before you had to throw them out because it takes forever to load them. 

The guns were important because of the reason that they can finally teach someone how to point it at the enemy and hope for the best in a few weeks and with the kingdom having very little in terms of a dedicated military it was a god sent.

Though the borders were secured for the time being, Jackson is now old and is currently failing health, He and his most trusted friends held a meeting on what to do next as he is now old, this meeting was the establishment of the republic that we know today. 

The sudden change of government had caused a few problems here and there but fortunately it didn’t end up into a full blown civil war, and soon the first voting of the leader was held and with Silvius gear (the president of the engineering guild) winning. 

After the victory, the former president of the banking guild mysteriously disappeared followed by the exploration guild leader a few days after, all of which was replaced by Dave Phalanx and Frederick Henry all old friends of Silvius.

With the Trading guild supporting small class vendors now reinvigorating the economy once more and the Exploration guild now aiding and training the new batch of explorers and settlers.

After the restoration of the Republic’s vigor, soon several colonies have been established founding horses for the first time, being easily tamable the colonist’s used the horses to quickly transport equipment and goods from and to the one another and back to the Republic. 

Soon the horse drawn wagons have been seen in the streets of the Republic carrying people, goods, equipment, and soldiers to and out of places making it possible to colonize further inland.

With the discovery of horses, the army went into a lot of reforms to integrate the horses into their military structure, soon they the Citirus rangers were now acting as scouts along as search and destroy units while the army also established their own version of the rangers called the colonial knights.

The Colonial knights, are the military versions of colonist as their goal is to find suitable places the army can settle in and to help the nearby settlers and explorers though primary settlers they have receive extra training making them a hundred times better than the regular grunt the army has.

After a few years potash was used in the republics farms increasing their output drastically, and honey farming was encouraged and spread thought out the land increasing the farms productivity tenfold as they start growing potatoes and watermelons. 

Soon enough colonial knights discovered a herd of wild pigs just a few kilometers of their base of operations, and the engineering guild found out how to turn potash into glass and discovered how to make forest glass from the surrounding trees. 

Soon the military established piggeries and chicken farms nearby their camps, and their fortified camps have been used to define the borders of the Republic as they are erect fortifications and multiply sentries guards the surrounding area.
