4:50, November 27th 2019 Sisters of Mercy Women's Shelter; Hub City, Illinois Karen remained silent while The Question addressed her, mostly wondering why he hadn't offered her any candy, if he had it. It had been a while since she had any kind of sugary goodness in her life. Wait, was thinking like that childish? It probably was. She was an adult right now, and needed to act like it. Goals. He also seemed to be lecturing her, which wasn't too surprising. He was, after all, an old dude. That's just what they did. "I'm actually a native," Karen stated, when he mentioned the city chewing her up. She kind of did understand where he was coming from there, though, this place was pretty much like someone saw Mos Eisley and thought it needed to exist in the real world. "I grew up in The Wedge, so I know how ugly this place is." She was still growing up in it, in fact, but he didn't need to know that detail. In any case, he now wanted to know if she had questions. Well, sure she did! It wasn't every day when she got to meet an Urban Legend. Though, in all honestly, she would've been a lot more excited if she hadn't already met an actual wizard and a talking cat. "Erm...so you mentioned getting killed. Ever gotten beat up before? What mistakes did you make that caused it?" She asked, more out of simple curiosity than actual worry for her safety. He did, after all, seem like just a normal guy. He probably wasn't bulletproof or super strong, or anything like that.
