Unfortunately no. See, the issue with Dark Release and the Chimera Technique is that they just cause bickering, arguing, and are both easily breakable. The Chimera technique would never be allowed on a chunin-Genin, and Dark Release is kinda absolute in its defense against ninjutsu. (And don't get me started on all the bickering the chakra absorbing seal that nagato uses has caused. Same basic principle.)
