The light from Eden brightened as dawn broke, the light falling on the Sunleth Waterscape first in deep crimsons, then fading to a normal bright and pure white. Over the course of the next hour, breakfast had been served, as had a new set of AMP-regulated manacles to shackle the PSICOM prisoner. A tour had been conducted about the camp, and the basic introductions and duties had been revealed and assigned. The next step, of course, would be for the tired fighters to get some rest. After some repose, the first task the group had would be to locate the remaining members of Maurice and Rikken's squad.

Julian had just broken up the meeting and dismissed his crew when a quiet rumbling could be felt in the grounds, as if a great beast were charging towards them. Throwing off the exhaustion of the night, Julian rushed forward to the nearest lookout point. "Rice, what is it?" the Lieutenant called out. The other man simply pointed and handed Julian a spyglass. 

A form was approaching with intense speed, seemingly flying above the surface of the land and water. Flames engulfed its body, and the creature seemed to look directly into Julian's eyes, as if it could sense the soldier watching it through the spyglass. "Ready arms!" Julian cried out as he scrambled down from the lookout. He opened his mouth to call out more orders, but whatever he said was drowned out by a bestial roar from the creature.

[b][color=b44b4f]"I am Belias the Gigas!"[/color][/b] came the terrible proclamation. [b][color=b44b4f]"My creation was an uncorrected error of the gods, and I rebelled in order to receive my intended role. I am the Scion of darkness and Guardian of the Holy Realm!"[/color][/b] The form arrived and crashed down in the center of the camp, leaving a small crater in his wake. His feet were in the shape of cloven hooves, and ram's horns adorned his brow. The giant's form had four arms, one of which wielded a flaming halberd that whipped around to point at those in the party.

"Ooh, is this a fal'Cie?!" Molly cried out in excitement. Julian put his arm up to stop her from flying towards the creature.

"Many of us have already been chosen by Shemhazai," Julian cried out. "We wish no quarrel with you."

The giant was silent for a second before he crossed his arms and tilted his head heavenward, letting out an uproarious guffaw. [b][color=b44b4f]"You wish no quarrel?!"[/color][/b] he repeated incredulously. In a flash, the fal'Cie's halberd traced a complex pattern upon the ground, approximating the shape of the brand of the fal'Cie. Fire erupted from the brand and many of those in the camp cried out in pain, grasping their arms or other parts of their bodies as they witnessed the same [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2ee1x0PwDA]vision[/url] that the party had experienced before. It was now obvious that this form was identical to one of those in the vision. [b][color=b44b4f]"Do you see now?! The quarrel wishes you!"[/color][/b]

Once again, the halberd whipped forward, pointing directly at Julian. [b][color=b44b4f]"Face me, or you shall die here in obscurity!"[/color][/b]
