Often given the nickname 'The Urban Gladiator' by the commentary team, Rocky is portrayed as tough, relentless and brimming with determination. Not to say he never taps out, but in an environment where finishing holds locked in more often than not guarantee an end to the match, it's still shocking to see Rocky persevere and through sheer force of will, overcome his opponent and escape the hold on multiple occasions. Though he doesn't play up an 'All-American' angle, he's still definitely a hero type of character.
