She had met precisely one person since arriving at the island and her illusions have already been seen through twice. How does something like that even happen? Might as well make the most of it though. After all, Elyris came here in the first place to learn, didn't she? And clearly she needed it. Maybe her new roommate could help her. Although rooming with him would be awfully inconvenient. If she were constantly stuck in the same room with him, she could kiss her duplicate strategy goodbye for good. And who knows what else he could do, or what else he could see? While Elyris was pondering the many mysteries of Gerald, someone else had entered the room. Someone who wasn't even paying attention to her. This presented a perfect opportunity to get some space, and it looked like the spooky see through man was playing along beautifully. Elyris nodded in response to Gerald's proposal, "Uh, yes! Good plan, we'll take this room and you can have the other one!" She said, perhaps a bit too quickly. Happily, Elyis began pushing her flying luggage down towards the floor to unpack and cement her claim on this room. But at that moment, the door flew open once more and another human-looking person (you could never be too sure) waltzed in proclaiming that his name was Sultan. Well. This was an opportunity she couldn't just leave hanging. As all thought of the soul-seeing spook that was Gerald flew from her mind, Elyris left her luggage floating in mid-air and flitted over to Sultan. Surely, not everyone here could see through illusions, Elyris thought to herself. And even if they could, it would be better to test that right now rather than find out later by making a fool of herself. All she needed to do right now was figure out who she could fool, and who to be very careful of. So far, her mental list of people here that she could fool with her illusory tricks was sad and empty. Let's see if she could add a little someone named Sultan to that list. "Welcome to the room, Sultan!" Elyris exclaimed enthusiastically as she fanned out a deck of cards that had suddenly appeared in her hands. "Now pick a card, any card!"
