[@scifidude47] I have made the CS, everything except the strange behavior (which I cannot think of right now because I am tired) is on there. Let me know if anything needs to be changed.
Name: Calvin Carson Relative Age: 12 Gender: Male Physical Description: Calvin wears a pair of blue jeans, tennis shoes, and a faded white t-shirt. They’re in surprisingly good shape for being subjected to the apocalypse and the everyday life of a 12-year old boy, which is probably due more to luck than anything else. His physical appearance also isn’t out of the ordinary; brown hair, blue eyes, white skin, and he has the average muscle mass and size of a kid his age. Gas Mask Description: Calvin wears a welding mask that he rigged to serve as a gas mask as well for two reasons. One, it looks cool, and two he occasionally does need to weld things. It looks something like this: https://ixquick-proxy.com/do/show_picture.pl?l=english&rais=1&oiu=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.arc1weldsafe.com%2F360%2Fvision%2F4.jpg&sp=62d022143fafdbd271520c6ef393153e Job: Calvin was and is a kid, so he never worked for a living beyond maybe running the occasional lemonade stand to buy candy or something. If lemons exist in this universe, Calvin can make lemonade for whoever he is with? Personality: Calvin is an optimistic person, despite everything that has happened to him. Perhaps this is because he is young, perhaps it is because he is determined, or perhaps because it’s because it was how his grandfather was. The changes in his life shook him at first, but with his goal, Calvin gained a sense of purpose and a reason to go on. Also, if there is some mechanical thing that needs to be fixed or some cool device that needs to be made, the boy will focus on that to the exclusion of anything else. Story: Calvin grew up before The End in a typical suburban neighborhood. He wasn’t a typical kid though; Calvin enjoyed taking things apart more than talking to other people, so he didn’t have many friends. Even his siblings and parents could find his talk about mechanical things to be annoying. The one person he could really relate to was his grandfather, a retired engineer who lived away from the city in the woods. During the summers or when he wasn’t in school, he would visit and spend time fixing up old cars or learning how something new worked. Two tragedies came very quickly for the kid though. The first was the death of his grandpa. The second, not even a day later, was The End. Everything changed so fast; the only reason Calvin lived at all was because he happened to be in his house’s basement at the time. With no living relatives and so much emotional distress happening all at once, the only reason the boy lived was because he knew how to fix things. Someone always needed their car fixed or some piece of equipment made and Calvin was glad to do this in exchange for sustenance. After adjusting to the new normalcy of the apocalypse, Calvin decided that what he would need to thrive in this new world was the family Jeep, a 1940’s WW2 era vehicle. If he had that, he could drive wherever he wanted and could start a new life away from all the mutants and mayhem of the world. Strengths: -Superb mechanical skills. -His small size (compared to everyone else) means he can hide, dodge, and otherwise run away from threats that would impair older people. -He has the energy of a 12-year old boy; that is to say, a lot. -He is a skilled driver, which is surprising given that kids his age usually aren’t able to reach the gas pedal. Weaknesses: -No sense of direction. Given that he is trying to find a very specific place, this is troublesome for him. -He’s 12, so he isn’t particularly strong. Calvin isn’t super weak, but physically he could be overpowered by most adults. -Can be a bit impractical since he is a kid. -Not much in the way of combat skills. Calvin’s default way of fighting is to run around and stab people with his electric drill when he has the chance. His backup is using a hammer to whack people, but that’s less effective. Philosophy: Calvin doesn’t really know what he believes right now. Strange Behaviors: I’ll have to think of something for this later. Favorite Thing: The keys to the “family Jeep,” a vehicle said to be in Calvin’s family for generations. The Jeep itself (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/53/Covered_Willy%27s_jeep_Wings_Over_Wine_Country_2007.JPG/1280px-Covered_Willy%27s_jeep_Wings_Over_Wine_Country_2007.JPG) is at his grandfather’s house and it is Calvin’s goal to get there. Skills: Calvin is an ace at fixing things and making things out of whatever materials he has available. Cars, radios, guns, whatever. He even has basic welding skills that help contribute to this. STARTING EQUIPMENT: Calvin has a toolbox (it used to be his grandfather’s) filled with wrenches, screwdrivers, and other assorted tools used for fixing things. Of particular note is a portable welding torch, an electric drill (which he uses as a weapon if he needs to), and a seemingly endless supply of duct tape. He also has a small solar panel setup used to generate small amounts of electricity as needed and the keys to his family jeep. In addition to this, he has two days’ worth of food and water.
