Name: Kurotsuki Haruka Age: 16 Gender: Female Race: Human Class: Ninja

Notable Traits: Haruka's canine teeth are longer and pointier than most people's, making them more like fangs. Most people don't notice this detail because of her scarf covering her face, however. Belongings: A satchel filled with ten shuriken, a fire scroll, an ice scroll, and an electricity scroll. Abilities: Being a ninja, Haruka is crazy fast and more than capable of hit and run attacks. However, lightning quick kicks and punches aren't all that she's good for. Certain items, like shuriken and kunai, can be thrown for ranged attacks, while scrolls can be used for magical attacks of different elements, like fire, ice, and electricity. There's a variety of items that ninja like Haruka can use for different effects, ranging from healing techniques to techniques that raise offense and defense. Despite the versatility, however, Haruka is still rather squishy, and can't take too much of a beating before being down and out for the count. Personality: Even before her 'afterlife', Haruka was always under the impression that she was some legendary ninja. Her name for that role is Black Moon, which she took from her family name. For the most part, she acts and speaks like a stoic 'badass', but once someone points out how silly the whole thing is, she drops the act and snaps at them for making fun of her persona. She's actually a rather sensitive and hot-headed person, so it isn't too hard to make her drop the badass ninja act. History: Growing up, Haruka always had a very vivid imagination. Whether it be from a TV show, a video game, or even a picture-less book, her mind was always filled to bursting with ideas. She just had a very lively way of expressing them. Starting at the tender age of three, Haruka's life was spent living with her grandfather, a kindhearted and easygoing old man with a love of bats and other creatures of the night. Her mother had contracted a grave illness that left her hospitalized, and her father simply spent too much time at work to be able to stay back home and look after his only daughter. So, Mr. and Mrs. Kurotsuki left Haruka with the former's father until the latter recovered. The problem, however, is that the latter never recovered. At only four years of age, Haruka lost the woman who had given her life itself. Needless to say, she was heartbroken, and needed some way to distract herself from the pain. Thankfully, her grandfather had a working television, a decently-sized collection of video games, and a massive library filled with books. It didn't take very long before Haruka was happy again, and positively exploding with ideas. A lot of the things she had read, played, and watched dealt with ninja, which, as a concept, seemed absolutely incredible to Haruka. Since she and her grandfather always went on nightly walks out in the garden, it gave the young girl plenty of opportunity to act like one herself. It was behavior that even stretched out into her school days; she always pretended to be a ninja, either on the playground or off. However, not everything in her life after that point went as well as she would have liked. On the night of her sixteenth birthday, Haruka went on a nightly walk with her grandfather, as she always did. In an eager attempt to show off just how much she had grown, the teenager jumped off the railing that separated her grandfather's garden and the rest of the city... ...and plummeted into the river below. After a pointless struggle to get out of her tight scrape, Haruka drowned, ending her life prematurely after a careless and foolish display intended to impress the man who had looked after her for most of her life. The body was never recovered, and some say it still drifts around the world to this day. Miraculously, however, Haruka seemed to be alive, though not quite in the world that she knew. She woke up from some sort of unconscious state beside a river, being barked at and prodded by a dog of some kind. After fully opening her eyes, she saw not only the dog, but an honest to God ninja, apparently. Haruka was still groggy, but she could make out the ninja saying something along the lines of "come with me to Southmere". Afterwards, the ninja, accompanied by the dog, hauled a still dazed Haruka over his shoulder and began walking in the direction of a particularly large city. Haruka was eventually dropped off at a building known as the Adventurer's Guild, where she turned around to thank the man who brought her back to civilization. He was gone. As was the dog. The doors then opened, revealing a pleasant-looking young woman who asked who Haruka was. After explaining and following the woman inside, Haruka looked at herself and saw that the man who had helped her wasn't the only ninja around. Not anymore, at least.
