No, it wasn't the thought of finishing school and going home for a long swim, for today she wouldn't be heading home at the time she normally would. Today was the day. The meeting of the Host Club. She had been excited for this moment, and jumped out of her seat at the bell crying out "It's finally time!" She had to shrink back quickly after with a glare from the sensei, and laughter from the other students in the room. Even a detention for shouting in class couldn't ruin her spirits. Not completely. She collected her bag, hurrying to her locker in the most I'm-totally-not-running-but-I-am way, nearly skidding past it as she came to a stop. Locker open, bagful of books tossed in, bagful of clothes claimed, locker shut! Her walk to the music room was far less rushed. She took a moment to stop by the restroom to check her hair (perfect as always!), and touch up a little on the minimal makeup she wore. "First impressions are important" she told her reflection in the mirror. The reflection nodded when she did. As she reached the door, she paused as she heard voices inside. Male and female. She'd truthfully hoped to be first, and...put up banners or something. Who knows, it didn't matter now as she was on time. Punctuality was important to the girl, and so after a moment to calm herself down, she walked through the door with a happy (and perhaps a little loud) "hello everyone! Are you as excited as I am?" She paused, and blinked, as she saw who was gathered. Did she get the wrong room? They didn't look like what she expected...especially that Russian giant! He looked like he'd belong on her dads navy vessel! Amanda decided she liked him already, and was soon smiling brightly again as she shut the door behind her, and popped her bag against the wall before walking (almost dancing) towards the middle of the room.
