My personal opinion [@IceHeart], is that they are only starting to turn on the Alt-Left, namely Antifa, because they are suffering damage or loss at their hands. It is becoming personal for them whereas before they were mostly left alone during the riots and protests; now, an emboldened Antifa is attacking anyone they suspect of guilt like a modern day mob. Perhaps the best comparison I have heard about this is how similar the echoes of mass hysteria are with those of the witch hunts.

Reporters and journalists are now just as much fair game as anyone else in the chaos. Why, one might ask? My theory is that Antifa by and large has no idea who is friend or foe. They do not exactly have any real training and are at best a moderately organized mob that is only now readily advancing in influence, number and coordination.

I sincerely doubt they are trying to turn over a new leaf for anything but their own gain and protection, hoping the foolish and uninformed continue to follow their Pied Piper call.
