Fyaira blinked in surprise when a brown-haired mage abrupted asked for her assistance. But, before, she could respond, a third player – a tinker – had also approached and asked to join the pair. For a moment, Fyaira sat stunned, uncertain of what to say. She had never had friends before – not true friends. The so-called buddies she’d made in real life had always been driven away by her stark unhappiness before long. But, here, Fyaira could change that. Here, she didn’t have to be unhappy. So, she gave the newcomers her brightest smile and said, “If you guys want to go kill stuff, I’m totally up for it!” Of course, she knew she ought not give complete strangers her total trust. Before the demon king’s announcement had pulled her back to town, she had been in the outer fields, killing some of the easiest monsters in the game. They hadn’t really been a threat to her once she’d gotten used to movement. Fighting here was like dancing, she assumed – she had never actually danced – and she had picked it up quickly. As long as her group didn’t begin by hunting too ambitious a monster, she would be totally fine. She’d played dozens of MMOs before Talrae. If anyone did anything funny, she could just run away. “My name’s Fyaira,” she said, holding a hand out for whomever to shake. “I know everyone’s all upset about the announcement and stuff, but this place is gorgeous, and I want to explore all the nooks and crannies! If we’re stuck here, we’d might as well have fun, right?” That thought brought life to a mischievous notion in the back of her mind. She had a pickpocketing skill; it might be fun to try it out soon! But not on these people. It wouldn’t do to alienate the first possible friends she might have had in forever! [@TaroAndSelia] [@Thecrash20]
