On Thursday, July 16, 2020 about 0729 AM EST everyone on the planet suddenly vanished - save for you (and at least myself).  Across most of the United States it was morning rush ‘hour’.  Where were you when it happened?  What do you even call it?  The Event?  If you were on the road at the time, the highway became a disaster zone.  

It was freaky weird how it happened.  Everything was left behind.  Wallets, pacemakers. Glasses, watches, clothing …  Men, women, children.  And if it was the Rapture, then God must have had a change of plans for he took Believers, Sinners, Atheists.  He didn’t discriminate about religion either.

All you really know for sure is that you are alone in a very, very big world.

If you were lucky you were sleeping in that day and missed the initial chaos.

Our characters are the new Adam and Eve.  Well, theoretically anyways.  Last guy, last girl.  As we are the last - or first of a new era - we must be healthy specimens, free of genetic disorders, allergies, etc.  We should be young (20-30) when the Event happens.  (I am thinking of being about age 28 and male.)  We should both speak English.

We could be from anywhere in the continental USA.  We need to pick a time and place after the Event when we meet up.  (Gas goes bad in 6 months and gas pumps will stop working in hours, so bear that in mind.  Diesel lasts a bit longer.)
