She cross referenced the number with that of the average spent in a year. It was more then six times! She felt a little embarrassed. Hey a girl had to survive after being stuck in a different time. She did a lot more research on customs and how to rid herself of the smell. It was different. They used water instead of micro sonic transmitters to remove decaying cells from the external epidermis. She giggled at the thought. She watched five different feeds and ordered something for breakfast. The breakfast guy came and smiled at her. She thought he was kinda cute but she had read the warning label. The shoes by the door was common practice so that was nothing new. Miso kept reading and watching as the house made a sound. She stopped and started an inquiry. As the video came up there was a knock at the door. She would investigate the sound later. She opened the door. "Yes?" Miso was bare foot and her blue hair was loose. She smiled at them because she was a happy person. There were three of them. All older not robots. She was quickly learning just how ancient this place was! "Ms, Miso? Hello, we have your furniture." He looked at a peice of paper as he read the order. "One full futon, one chair black, washer, dryer, refrigerator, seven flat screen computer screens, speaker system, one large flat screen tv, and the list went on. She nodded at each item making sure it was all there. The men started to unload the truck which drew the attention of the neighbors. The other items would come later in the week. the me continued working to bring stuff in and unpack. They set the stuff in place and continued to work. Miso asked them general questions and had the local store bring food and drinks for the guys at noon. She was really enjoying the conversation and the men didn't seem to mind. They did find it odd that it was mostly going into the living room. To which the older guy hit the second with his hat. As they worked Miso started setting things up in the living room placing the screens all around her bed and she continued asking questions. What was it like living in this area? Where did people go to relax? How often did people work? Was the area a good location? What did they think of the house? What was a popular food? Where did people her age go during the day?" The men laughed. "They go to school." My daughter better be there. If she knows whats good for her." This started a discussion among the men as they worked. Miso listened intently while getting the room set up. She also started running searches for activities for people her own age. They did school was over at eighteen while college went on for four years and eight for a doctorate. It was so amazing! With that munch school why did it take so long for the invention of robots and A.I.? She would have to see this for her self! She found a school and registered her self providing all the necessary documents. "Idiot!" She thought to herself. "What will I do for parents?!" She continued to research this. it would be harder for this to get done the documents would have to last a bit longer in the system. "We're done." Said the oldest. He bowed and thanked Miso for the food and drinks. "Don't be late for school tomorrow." They climbed into the truck and left. Miso closed the door and looked at her new stuff. She shook her head. This would not do. There still wasn't power. She shrugged it would have to do. With her arms outstretched to her sides. She illuminated the room and had the nanites reconfigure everything. They looked like faint streams of light. NASA was using the materials to build four better vid screens on the wall opposite the bed. Then used some matter to give the bed a magnetic hover of thirty four centimeters. The chair was next reconfigured to be the chair she left behind. The speakers became integrated into the house. A dish was installed to extend her range. Some of the other electronics would be used to make the ancient structure a bit more modern. Bits of metal were added here and there to give her a defensive element for her property. She had the stove and microwave dismantled to make a more efficient food prep unit. As the day went on she quickly became exhausted. The nanties fed off her bio electricity. Miso had reconfigured most of the matter in her house. It had taken its toll. She took off her clothes and got into bed. The sheets were rough. The blanket was too. She was too tired to care. Closing her eyes Miso drifted off to sleep. The sun was just about to set. She smiled living in the past wasn't so bad. The next day she awoke but the light outside was dimmer. She got up and looked out her window. There was this grey stuff over the sky! she panicked was this due to her time trip? Was it the war that brought decades of cold? She took a deep breath and had the screens display the local feeds. She heard a scream of astonishment. Looking out from her window Miso saw the neighbor across from her had dropped his drink on his foot and was staring at her. Her face went from curiosity, to a dark shade of red! Quickly she drooped to the floor! "Idiot!" Why didn't the pass have privacy glass on house windows?! Her clothes were upstairs. She made a portal up to the dressing room. The neighbor picked up the cup and the mail and limped back to his house. His foot burned from the morning coffee. NASA confirmed the time of 0945 am. The day was Friday. She wanted to try a shower even if she didn't have the other stuff. She had never been in water before. Miso got in and followed the video instruction. Nothing happened. There was no water. "The house must still be in off mode." This past had it's down sides. She sighed and got out. Her body did smell. She looked online and found stuff for that too. She could have it delivered or get it from the shop down the street. She couldn't resist. She got dressed and put her shoes on. She stepped out the door and closed it behind her. The nanites turned the metal lock and she headed down the street. It was colder, darker, and the wind was stronger. Miso didn't care for this at all. Her face showed her concern and her long hair whipped around her. She made it to the smaller market and looked around. She tried to ask the older guy at the counter which soap was better but he got red in his face and then hit in the back of his head by a lady of the same age as him. "Dear let me help you." Miso bowed politely and started asking her things. This womans' face got red too but she was a wealth of information. her name was Akiko. She had lived here her whole life. she had an answer for every question. Akiko didn't shy away from anything asked. Miso had bought more then as he intended to as they kept talking. After Miso's basket was full she found herself in front of the counter they kept talking while the man totaled her bill. Miso paid and promised to return. Then the rain fell. The girl from the future didn't care. No one got out of it, and it didn't burn anyone. She made it home as she was about to turn the corner the woman from across the street looked at her with a sour face. "Go put some clothes on tramp!" She was dressed in the right clothes. She looked to see if the rain had eaten away at them. "No, noooo!" She crossed her arms across her chest and darted for the door. These clothes were so poorly made!she got to the door and opened it. Darted inside and slammed it behind her! "Idiot.."
