Prologue: Chapter 0///Chess_Army_and_the_Fractal_Forest

A group of children receive a suspicious email telling them they are chosen as Digimon Tamers.  Either out of curiosity  or whatever their reason, they all decide to go through the process and find themselves transported to the Digital World.  Of the group, a number decided against it and retreated back home, leaving only three.

They were given a mission, to investigate kidnappings in the Fractal Forest.  The travel via Digital Gate to an Agumon village where they meet a high ranking tamer named Niels and his partner GrapLeomon.  Together, they thwart a kidnapping attempt by Hackers, an evil group with mostly unknown intentions.  Most of them mess around with Digimon as they please.

Afterward, they find that a Greymon from the village was kidnapped and follow him to the base of the Chessmon Kingdom.  There, they encounter a rather sizable army of PawnChessmon and a Tankdramon and it's owner, Ruuto, a hacker and Niels old friend.  Ruuto and Tankdramon retreat when a pair of flying Digimon grab them and the kidnapped Greymon that is caged.

With their heads hung low, the three tamers retreat.  One found that the work not worth it and resigned.  That left only the two left, Yumeko Yukihara and Rachel Holt.
