As the firstborn and heiress-apparent to the Cirsium Family Sword School, she was determined to follow in the footsteps of her ancestors and become a huntress, throwing her very all into her training in order to do so. With her serious outlook on becoming a figure she viewed as a "defender of humanity" and intense work ethic, she was easily able to make it into Signal Academy, where she studied for several years before entering Beacon. While definitely a promising young huntress with significant capabilities, Marsail will still need to work on her overly serious nature, straightforward approach and tendency to get easily annoyed if she wants to become a hero that will carry on the good done in her family's name. [b]Semblance Name:[/b] [i]Nodens Loucetius[/i] [b]Description of Semblance:[/b] [i]Nodens Loucetius[/i] is the manifestation of Marsail Cirsium's desire to confront evil and injustice and utterly excise it from existence for the sake of humanity and all that is good. It can essentially be described as a semblance of "purification", being able to identify issues and then removing them by either healing or reversing them to a healthier state. She emits a warm light from her hands to obtain knowledge of the problem, and when the light is shone on their target, they will be saved. For example, if she were to come across someone who is poisoned, that poison can be removed by applying her semblance, as it would identify the poison and "purify" the person by removing it from their system. If she were to see someone injured, she could do something similar, except this time she would be healing the injuries rather than healing one of poison. If faced with an illusion, and she knew it was present, she could even destroy that illusion by identifying it and finding its origin. [b]Semblance Limitations:[/b] Her powers work only on a single target at a time, and when in use, she needs to first identify the issue (which can be done from the first part of her power) before being able to properly heal it. The greater the severity of the issue, the more energy it would take out of her, and the more time to would take to fix. [b]Weapon:[/b] [i]Scotia Beag - Claidheamh Soluis[/i] initially appears to be a relatively simple claymore, a large and powerful sword that crushes all enemies before it with its great mass. The forward-sloping quillons of her weapon are a simple, furnished silver, seemingly little differentiable from the shining steel blade, but closer inspection reveals that the cross-guard can fold back if the secondary function of the sword is activated. When Dust of any kind is applied to her weapon, Marsail can emit the elements from its surface, either as a ranged attack when the blade begins to retreat backwards, or simply in melee when each strike in infused with the power of nature itself. However, its most powerful ability would be that which gave the sword its name; when charged, the emitters on the weapon begin to glow with a radiant light, spiralling out all around the blade in a helix to an extent that is blinding. This energy shines like a brilliant white torch and every strike with the sword will land with even greater impact and blind all foes. Most importantly, the blades can retract further, and with a swing the central emitter hidden within will concentrate the condensed power and fire off a powerful ranged blast that will instantly destroy any Grimm that was unfortunate to stand in its path. The more time Marsail takes to charge, the more powerful it can become. [b]Favored Dust Element:[/b] While familiar with the use of all types of Dust, Marsail Cirsium most commonly inserts Fire and Air crystals into her weapon. [b]Other:[/b] She has a rivalry with her next youngest sister, who is currently in the grade below. Despite wearing glasses, she actually doesn't need them that much.
