[sub]About the Ishin Academy Entrance Exams[/sub]
The entrance exams started with a written application that had to make merit of hero knowledge, Japanese language accreditation, and a lot of other hero-oriented questions and writing opts. Once this was sufficiently passed you move on to being invited to Sapporo and IA’s testing facility to utilize your quirk before a board examination and then rigorous interviews to make sure your character fits the notion of Ishin Academy. As one could tell, this is quite different than the public spectacle of examinations found in academies like Yuuei Academy (otherwise known as U.A. High) where aspiring students compete in media-oriented exhibitions, and is one reason why in recent years Ishin has found itself bitter with the exponential increase of “American-style” examinations within their country. Ishin detests cavalier attitudes and unneeded excess that only serves to diminish the prestige of what a Japanese hero is and should be.
