This is how you carry a machine gun/heavy stubber and tripod. Your comrade would likely be lugging the tripod and the ammunition would likely be spread out among the entire squad.

I'm with Ollum on the carrying several grav-chutes thing. One thing you guys should all take into account is that by the time wearing the grav-chute is a real problem (you've been wearing it for an hour or two in combat and it's starting to wear you out), you'll have secured the LZ and had an opportunity to ditch your extra equipment properly with your unit or have failed to secure the LZ and died.

Also, if you're expecting heavy combat, it's very likely your additional equipment would be dropped in separate weapon and supply containers to cut down on weight. The Heavy Stubber for example would likely be dropped separate from it's operator.
