Faust Arzt
Faust heard closely as Genesis started talking about how there always existed things, but not the words for them. Faust's mind couldn't even start to imagine how things were before... everything, so he wasn't offended by Genesis correcting him, in fact, it only made him even more interested. His words failed to be able to explain what was that, not even his imagination could start to picture it. That mystery was part of that beauty. Faust didn't knew if he would ever be able to fully understand the origin of everything, not as Genesis understood it, but that was exactly why he was so interesting. "But yes... it was fascinating how World and living creatures changed." he said, chuckling. "As I said before, we humans know what we know only due to our theories. There are things that not even our complex equations and thesis can explain. My words fail to accurately describe the happenings which you just mentioned, my mind can't even start imagining it. This complexity, this mystery is exactly what drives humanity forward. Humans... Like a curious child, we will try to disassemble and reassemble everything, analyzing it to its tiniest pieces. Our unquenchable thirst for knowledge is our curse and blessing." Faust said, stirring up his tea before giving it another sip. "I am no different, I love knowledge. Humanity's greatest ability is to learn with their mistakes and adapt." Faust said, smiling to Genesis. "I have to thank you for this interest... wait" Genesis said, getting up and going to his room. Faust didn't knew what he was doing, but he patiently waited for him. "Here... these are old sketches..." Genesis said, placing an unnamed book in front of him. "I..." Faust tried to say, as he opened the book, with his eyes wide open. He spent a good few minutes looking at the pages with his eyes wide open, without saying anything. He was completely absorbed in the book, paying attention to every detail, no matter how tiny it was. "There are a lot of things I don't understand!" Faust said, looking to Genesis with a bright smile. "This is simply fantastic! I... I don't know what to say!" Faust said. In his eyes, there was more than just enthusiasm and curiosity... His eyes burned with the fiery passion of a scholar, the love for knowledge. When facing something completely new, something that could potentially destroy his very understanding of things that were carved on his mind as truth, seeing all those theories crumbling down... That was the real joy of a scholar. "Genesis... I hope you're ok with questions, because I will have many." Faust said, laughing soundly as he continued to look at the book's pages. [@Ocheewa]
