I'm afraid that'd be a bit too on the nose for what I'm looking for. Characters who look a bit suspicious are all fine, but for the most part, i'm looking for characters who fit in fairly normally with a reasonable, happy rural community. Think any of the characters from the first season of Twin Peaks.
