Hope's Peak Academy is a unique high school, educating only the best of the best and training them for future success. There are two criteria for admission: you must be of high school age, and you must be the best at what you do. This can be any number of things: alumni range from the Ultimate Detective to the Ultimate Gymnast to the Ultimate Farmer or Gamer. The original school was located in Japan, but in order to further their research of talent, branches in other countries were opened. You are members of the first class of the American branch. ... Or you were supposed to be. However, when you arrived for the first day of class, you passed out as soon as you entered the main building. Now you are trapped in the school with your classmates and a strange bearlike creature who says the only way you can leave is by killing one of your classmates and not getting caught. Why are you here? What happened to the Academy of Hope? And will you have it in you to commit murder?
Name: Talent (Formatted as Ultimate X, this is America): Age (must be between 17 and 21): Gender/Pronouns: Appearance (picture or description): Personality: Public History (what others might know about your character): --everything here will be between you and me-- Private History (what your character and their loved ones know): Secret (something they're deeply ashamed of): Items in pockets (limit three, some things--like pencil and notebook--can be considered one object, will judge on a case-by-case basis):

General: Essentially, this RP will consist of three phases that will repeat as necessary: Exploration/Character Interaction, Murder/Investigation, and Class Trial. During the first phase, characters will explore the building they're all trapped in, try to solve the mystery of the school, and be given a motive to kill each other. The second phase kicks off once someone is killed and consists of everyone investigating the murder as best they can. The third phase is the Class Trial, where everyone discusses who they think committed the murder. At the end of the trial, everyone votes on who they think dunit. Specific: 1. Don't godmod. 1a. Generally speaking, I will post any person's findings in the RP and trust all y'all to keep track of what your character knows and what they don't. If I see a lot of people metagaming (using knowledge they didn't find and wasn't relayed to them), I will begin PMing everything. I don't wanna do that, you don't wanna do that, so let's not do that. 2. Don't be a dick. 3. Depending on circumstances, physical altercations may happen. If they do, talk it over with the other person and don't cause any notable injury without permission (bruises and small cuts are okay, dislocating something is not). 4. Do not kill anybody until I put up the murder form. If you do want to kill someone, send me a murder form in a PM. If I choose to let it happen, I will PM both the victim and the killer. 5. If your character is interacting with the environment around them, please put the action in italics (i.e. Angie checks the knife for fingerprints). I will similarly denote any response to that in italics also. 6. Class trials can get very chaotic and can easily end up going in circles. Try not to have one going too much if I am not there, as I know the answers to any questions that cannot be answered by evidence and can nudge you in the proper direction, should it come to that. A posting order for Class Trials would likely abate some confusion, but I would prefer not to place one. 7. If you're dead, you're dead. You can stick around in the OOC chat and I may be implementing some sort of afterlife (don't count on it), but you will almost certainly not be involved in the main story.
