From Copper to Gold is the price this time, for a task no other can be trusted with. You who dance on the grey lines of life or death without pity are what is needed now. Such is always the way. The cloaked figure stood tall at the gathering table, reaching into his chest pocket and pulling out a large cloth wrapped object to be placed down on the table before idly sliding it away from himself. The simple but pristine white cloth unravels to reveal a brick of solid gold stamped with the imperial seal. In the single torches dying light it shines like the sun. A single bar of this magnificent metal was enough to keep the crew in luxury for years to come. The boat leaves for exiled waters in three days. Your target is a recently escaped member of the Royal family, Eric Du'Mont. It is believed he holds the empires greatest secrets with him before fleeing to mass an army, somewhere we cannot go. Silence him, his retainers, and anyone that hinders your mission. Return to us with proof of the deed done, and there will be a dozen more like this. Make for Velor Harbor on the east of town, board the Sea Stalker, and do what must be done. For the Empire.
To my Children at the Slaughtered Elk Inn This will not be an easy mission nor will it be over soon. The blacklands is your destination this time and nearly 300 years of exiled traitors, warlocks, and any number of monsters, call this place home. No doubt you have heard the whispered stories told of this place. Smothered in magic and blanketed by black storm clouds that trap the unknown world beyond the coastline in perpetual night. It is where our courts dump criminals and killers. attempt to rid themselves of the guilt that comes with an execution. Better to believe the men and women who end up here died fighting than to believe their bloated corpses wash up on the shores when the jailors throw them overboard. I pray this letter finds you before the you board the Sea Stalker. Let it serve as a reminder of your objective. Find the Royal, kill him and his loyalists, and get off that fetid rock however you can. The sooner you leave the quicker you will return. Gods protect you all. Signed, Grandmaster Elidren, Founder of the Virtuos Company.

Relevant facts
Virtuous Company - 45 years of dedicated mercenary work and a scattered history of involvement in both Minor disputes in the Capital city of Auroch, home of the empires ruling council, and Military engagements over the many skirmishes for territory. The Virtuous company established themselves as a squad capable of taking control in battle before taking the fight square to the enemy strongholds and toppling them from within. With a prominent list of victories behind them it was only natural that they would later be called on to be the shadowed hand of the ruling council when the laws would not allow intervention. Paid killers with imperial protection. The Virtuous Company draws members from the slums and back-alleys of hamlets and cities alike with talk of gold, training, and comfort. Under the tutelage of the Grandmaster and his trainers they have turned men and women under his care into competent soldiers. Others who have served with distinction as a hunter for hire have joined the ranks as upper members allowed to leave and go as they please, the only catch to their freedom is the demand of service when called on. It is the only rule of the Company that when broken means death. Grandmaster Elidren is pushing seventy years of age, living in secret away from the meetings and skirmishes. Many would-be assassins have been aimed at the elusive head of the Virtuous and none return as rival Mercenaries try to shut out the influential voice to the council. It is with thanks to a lifetime dedicated to the discipline and teachings of his former order, a temple of monks known as the Lost Will. The ruling council the common way of referring to the supreme leaders of the country. Five in total, these men and women have ruled the realm over the years with Honor on and off the battlefield. Very few know just how deep their ties with the Virtuous Company and the killings at their request really go. To outsiders it is merely a business arrangement so common to a warring nation. Any race that you want to play as, regardless of 'alightment' so to speak, is acceptable with me as long as its both a reasonable request and you have a matching backstory that would put you into the Virtuous company. I will be adding more information about the Virtuous company if this RP gathers enough interest.
Character Sheet "Insert character quote here"
Name
name here
Race / Age
No Demons/Angels.
Personality
write here
Backstory
Why are you in the Virtuous Company.
Physical Talents
What are you good at? Options like hand to hand combat, weapon skills, special training Keep in mind that your characters age will reflect how long you have had to learn these skills so keep it plausible. No prodigys.
Magical Talents
This can serve as your spell-list. We would be mid-range adventurers so keep available skills as follows. 4 low-tier (utility or low damage) 2 mid-tier (Your more powerful or signature abilities) You may substitute a single Mid-tier for 2 Low-tier, but not vice-versa
Equipment
Everything from your weapons of choice to the most mundane of items. Complete lists please. Be reasonable here, if you have a lot of things please explain you keep a backpack on.
Other
Anything missing from the above that you feel the need to put on your character sheet.
Fears
This one is more for me and my Co-GM(s) benefit as we will shape the story around the nightmares of the Exiled world. I do not expect characters to run scared from everything they fear, be it a monster of some kind or a dark cavern, but I do want to see some of your negative side show up. Nobody is courageous 100% of the time.
