Well, it's humans, so I imagine it'd be the least contested issue- they're boring as fuck in the realms of this kind of fantasy. I don't imagine why limitations would affect anyone- the OP has at least implied things like magic exist, so I'd use common sense to leave that in to whatever degree. It's also why I put down the notice, in case anyone wanted to contribute or let me know something they wanted in a character (so go ahead if you want).

Well, since this IS a fantasy world, I was hoping to sum up original human migration and emergence, then focus on a specific group (e.g. where my character came from). Then everyone else could add to other groups if they wished, etc. etc.
It's not the least contested if 5/6 (pending or posted) of the player characters are currently Human or hybrids of Humans (yet have quite clearly varying degrees of distinction), like I agree with pathfinder - it would be much more considerate to the other players and conducive to world building if it was just the history of a single clan instead of the whole fucking race. I can really already see alot of clashing happening if you decided to just throw any care for others right out the window and decide to alter the ancestry of more than 80% of the characters. Sure the host said world building was a first come first served kind of deal, but it also said that our characters are our own and cannot be changed by others. While not directly changing, you could very potentially be building walls around the progression of others - especially since it affects such a majority. If it were between two or so players, fine, but this isn't just one or two. Also don't know what the fuck you're going to write so we can't exactly add to ensure the integrity of our characters until we know what the contents are.
Let's say that I was the one with the bad idea to write something like "Humans are all originally hormunculi, they are originally genetic clones of one another but breeding with other races gave then the diversity we see today. They can still reproduce asexually." See how that will screw the idea of your character over even if it doesn't change it at all?
I think the important thing to know that this is collaborative world building, collaboration means not writing something that can ruin the game for everyone and setting it in stone - even more sio if the other players already voiced their disagreement. It means building tiny steps starting out with your character and branching off in a cohesive manner alongside others (or at least, that is my impression of it and what I would do), not simply jabbing your ideas at the origin of a whole damn race that makes up more than 80% of the playerbase. That's why starting with a clan would be better, then maybe progress towards the origin of the whole race together with ample time and some discussion with the rest of us? Rather than trying to dictate the whole thing by yourself from the start. (Btw I know I can be blunt but I think it's better to take preventive measures early than to allow something that everyone might regret, to progress. Hey, I'm not the host, you don't have to listen to me, but I'm no stranger to collaborative world building and from the way you put it - this just isn't collaboration at all.)
