After the massive hand stopped dragging along the wall top, she looked around and saw her comrades hanging from the wall, all of them had made the decision, as she had, to jump from the wall; the last three years had not be in vain, it seemed. Gabriel was yelling for them to return, taking charge as he had become more inclined to over their time at the training camp, but her attention was drawn to the familiar voice yelling from below. "Jade?" She yelled down, struggling to comprehend how her friend had appeared in the last place she had expected. Equal parts happy to see her and horrified that her friend was going to be drawn into a bloodbath, she reeled in the hook holding her in place and let herself fall towards the ground. Half a dozen feet from the ground she shot at an angle toward the wall, the cable reeling out for a good distance before the hook found purchase. She pulled it in at a measured pace, turning her free fall into an arc parallel to the ground. She reached it at a manageable pace and landed on the ground at a run, the hook releasing from the wall and coming back to her as she headed towards the others. "I thought you were going up North? That can wait until later." She hugged her friend quickly before looking around, noting that neither Sano nor Mora were with Jade but there was no time to find out what was going on. She saw Grant heading towards Gabriel above, querying his intention to retreat. Ever unwilling to take charge when someone better was around, Lauren felt comfortable enough supporting someone making the right decisions and called around in a loud voice, the voice she used in the medical tent that brooked no argument. "We're to return to HQ in the event of an attack to receive orders, that was the command on our first day. Leave the defence of the Wall to the Guard, our job is to go back and raise the alarm." Not that it needs raising, who could miss that big ugly head above the gates? She motioned for the other two to follow and began to follow Gabriel's lead, pulling herself onto a rooftop with her Gear, eyes scanning for the nearest tall building and hooking onto it, pulling her away across the city and using the gas sparingly to cross wide areas. All the while she could feel the Titan's eyes boring down from above, the inevitable breach soon to occur.
