The tonfa was fun, but she wanted to be versed in more weapons than just an electrical beat stick. So Mamoru headed back to the armory and looked for more gadgets and gear to try out. The first thing on her list was something all good heroes need: Bandoliers! Whether it had bullets, grenades, or your cellphone, a set of belts with straps to hold your stuff was always important. Mamoru found herself a very wellmade bandolier with pockets and straps for anything, be it a sheath, holster, some rope, or whatever. She chose a belt configuration as she had some difficulty fitting the shoulder strap comfortable over her chest. Once equipped with her stylish new belt Mamoru went to look for some more stuff to use. One item she had her eyes was some sort of a grappling hook. Mamoru was fast but she could only run so far. If she had a grappling hook then she could grab ledges and stuff and get to vantage points she normally couldn’t. Mamoru spotted the new girl, Yukari, using something like that in her obstacle area. ”Oh, that’s cool! I wonder what she’s using?” Mamoru did eventually find something possibly even better: it was a large mechanical gauntlet with a grappling hook launcher built into the side. It could shoot up to forty meters and hook onto small ledges or wrap around objects and hook onto it’s cord. With a press of the button on the gauntlet the hooks would retract to allow for reeling, and another button could be used to pull one self and the target towards each other. It seemed complicated, but exactly the sort of thing Mamoru needed. No permission lock either. Next up was some utility bombs. Mamoru had a good arm but she was a crappy gunner so she preferred things that required less precision and more volume. While Mamoru wasn’t allowed to take most of the grenades there were a few other gadgets that she could take and piqued Mamoru’s interest. One was an Cement Bomb; it exploded into a very light, very liquidy substance that quickly hardens when exposed to oxygen. Then the liquid would shrink and grow heavy, which could be used to trap enemies and weigh them down. Another was a humble smoke grenade. It created a thick, choking smoke that was nearly impossible to see through and utterly horrible to smell, so anyone who tried to breath it in was going to get sick. Mask recommended. Mamoru made a mental note to find herself a mask too. The last gadget bomb that really interested Mamoru even though it was permission locked, the float mine. Apparently it was a sort of device you put onto a grenade, it caused the grenade to float into place and would explode under specific conditions. It could be priority, timed, remotely triggered, or even triggered from keywords. Very neat and Mamoru could imagine using them for various traps. Getting herself a few cement bombs Mamoru went to find more weapons she could use. Loads of swords and guns but she wasn’t interested in either of those. Swords were fun but people always talked about how much time one needs to dedicated into being good with them, and Mamoru just didn’t have that sort of time. Besides why spend ten years learning how to cut someone with a katana when you could do just as much damage with a heavy pipe? Mamoru could see the appeal but she had to consider something more practical. Like a spear. Which was what Mamoru found when she spied a weapon called a Sasumata. A double-prong fork-like weapon not meant so much for stabbing people as much as catching their limbs and disarming them of their weapons and equipment. There were actually other varieties of sasumata’s Mamoru could choose from, from bladed ones and high tech ones that were more like claws on sticks. Many to choose from, but Mamoru picked a classic looking one with all the spikes and such on it. There was a video of some techniques Mamoru could use a Sasumata for but she felt she’d learn better with practice than observation. Besides that there was still one more weapon Mamoru wanted to find and she found it near the more primitive section of the armory. At first she thought it was a flail but the weapon she found was actually the bolas. Like lassos but without the extra rope, Mamoru could hurl these at a bad guy to entangle their legs or just break something, since they head weighted heads at the end of the rope. Sounds right up Mamoru’s alley. When selecting a bolas she picked out two of them which were made almost entirely out of a lightweight metal alloy. While they were still weighty enough to cause damage and trip people up Mamoru chose the metal ones because they would be more resistant to slashing and breaking. Mamoru imagined that her bolas would be useless against someone with a knife or the strength to just rip them apart. With two grenades, two bolas, the grappling gauntlet, the tonfa she already had, and a Sasumata, Mamoru felt ready to take on the training room again. She was thinking that this time she’d go for ten robots though not all at once. They’d come in waves of three over a ten minute time span, just to test her ability to handle all of them. Of course she’d have them armed too. In fact she wanted to upgrade their weapons to something a bit more automatic just to give them a sporting chance. Along the way back she spotted Reina chatting with the guy she wasn’t familiar with, Yoshino if she had remembered correctly. He had a sword with him so she guessed he must be a sword fighter. Forgetting about training for a moment Mamoru swaggered over to the two while loudly introducing herself once again. ”Mamoru incoming! Hiya Rei-chan! And uh... Kagemi-san? I’m sorry I forgot your last name. I know you’re Yoshino-san and stuff but uh... Anyways what’s up guys?” Mamoru smiled and looked at the two, looking a bit silly with all the weapons she had. She looked more like a poor cosplayer for some fantasy event than a super hero. "I saw you doing moves back there, that was pretty cool! You musta been trained since a kid eh? I never really got a chance for something like that so I'm just trying to find something that works for me. What about you Rei-chan? With a power like yours you could probably do some damage with boomerangs or other thrown weapons. Oh or maybe you could do like, floating barriers around yourself. Get some flying shields to protect your from ranged attacks. I wonder if my Aegis would work with your powers?" As Mamoru spoke she slowly started leaning towards Reina due to her gravity powers, not that Mamoru realized nor cared. Of course she'd gravitate to her friend; that was just science. [@Riegal][@Aerandir]
