She doesn't appear to be super muscular, but she definitely has a good amount of muscle in those thighs, arms, and flat abs. Her face is more or less oval shaped, but she has a well pronounced chin and jaw bone. Light brown hair the color of cracked dirt is cropped off at an inch past her chin, and her eyes are a hazel that sometimes shifts to green or brown. She has pale skin that shows that she doesn't go outside enough, spending her days cooped up with artificial light. Though a touch of makeup often helps to conceal this, Alina also has reddish purple "bruises" around each eye, from lack of sleep. Her lips are also often very red, not from lipstick but because she chews them often, peeling off whatever dried top layer of skin she can grasp with her teeth. Stocky, firmly muscled, short haired, pale, and deprived of sleep. Perhaps some would think that the combination doesn't make the prettiest lady, but she certainly makes an effort to stand proper like a queen. Shoulders back, head high, a smile on her face... though she does have a habit of shifting her weight to one leg and leaning against the nearest wall at times. When alone though, she seems to shrink into herself and become so, so, much more tired. If you ever catch her off guard, you'll see shoulders slumped, a hand on her temple to try and ward off one of her frequent headaches, and in general just a melancholy face. Alina's work wardrobe and "weekend" clothes are quite similar, both modest and nothing outgoing. During the weekdays when she has to work, she tends to wear long neutral colored clothing regardless of the season, for it's too easy to get cold while indoors. She prefers to wear high waisted long skirts that reach her mid calf, either cut straight or loose and flowy. Occasionally, she will wear slacks too. For her top she chooses to wear plain button down blouses. On the weekends, she continues to wear simple clothing, something that doesn't stand out. Her work clothing, simple as it already is, is more fancy than what she wears at other times. All she seems to like is a pair of long loose cloth pants and a 3/4 sleeved shirt or T-shirt, in plain colors such as dark blues, greens, and reds, as well as brown, gray, and black.

═PERSONALITY═

Introverted? Extroverted? Probably extroverted? Alina can confuse people at times when they try to define her personality as either introverted or extroverted. Most of the time when people see her she laughs and smiles plenty. She's enthused, can't wait to get started. But she doesn't share her ideas in the stereotypical extrovert style, talking out loud and working things out and sharing as she goes. It seems that Alina thinks her ideas through thoroughly and tests them for flaws and mistakes before sharing, which points to... introvert. There are also times when she doesn't say much at all, though she will still smile, sitting somewhere nearby in a chair and gazing at the other people in the room in a way that shows she is looking at something more than just what they're wearing. Alina drinks in whatever small pieces of information that she can grasp, analyzing other's behaviors. She likes to know what motivates them, what sets them off, and what makes them uncomfortable. Why? Why does she bother learning so much about others? Because she yearns to help everyone. In any way she can. If she can find the right words to cheer them up, or find a way to suggest something else that works better in a way that doesn't put their confidence down, she's happy. One could say that she thrives on seeing other people happy. There's a reason she decided to become a teacher. She tries her best to help people in whatever way she can, often in a rather quiet, deep way, pointing to her being an introvert. So she has these ideals, these goals in life, but is it working? Is she helping kids? Helping to make the world happier? She feels like she's failing. Alina is in her first year of teaching, and she feels like she can't get through enough. Some of them have grown to like her and look up to her, but she's noticed that many others don't feel the same way. Alina is wavering, unsure of whether she chose the right job. Unsure of whether she should have gone and done programming instead, or architecture. Simple numbers and codes, where, in her opinion, you don't have to deal as much with people. She is very careful not to let this depressive state show, though. If she wants to make people feel better, she can't look like she herself is sad. So she smiles, laughs, and inside wishes that there was someone who could see through. If there is someone who she thinks has a chance of becoming a good friend, she can become clingy. Sending text messages even when the person isn't online, getting scared when it takes more than an hour or two for a response. As a result, she doesn't seem to have many friends. Not true friends.

═HISTORY═

Alina was the oldest and only child of her family for six years before her brother Alistair came along. Really, she had a rather uneventful childhood. Full of the normal childhood scrapes and hurts, as well as the happy moments. But when Alistair came into the world, that was when she began to develop part of her personality that would stick with her through her life. Alistair was her younger brother, but with their large age gap and no one in between to fill it, Alina felt rather like a mother as well. He came to her for reassurance after school when both their parents were out working till late, and she cared so, so, much for him. As she grew older, she decided that she wanted to do more of "this". Connecting with younger children and getting them to like her, giving advice. That wasn't the only thing she was good at, but she chose to focus on that ambition and become a teacher. She began college. When she was around halfway through the estimated time it would take her to become qualified for teaching, something happened that, perhaps, changed her for the worse. Her brother graduated high school, and decided to take a year off before college just as Alina had done. He went traveling for months, and when he finally came back he was... different. Alina tried to find out what had happened, but made no progress. Something had happened, but he wasn't saying anything. He avoided her and her texts, and a three months later he left. Left. Just left. Fell out of touch, didn't say where he was going or if he would be going to college. Alina was devastated. Her younger brother, closest kin, motivation for the very thing she was struggling through now, was gone. Wouldn't speak to her. She still forced herself to finish college, get a good, steady job. But she hasn't been the same since.
