And going for my second character. Name: Sadao Maou/Satan Jacob Gender: Male Appearance: Human Form and True Demon Form Personality: Sadao Maou is an interesting contradiction of a person. He is hard-working in his job and yet a lazy layabout when off hours. He has high pride in himself, and yet he is never overconfident. A man with many qualities that seem to clash against each other, this young man is someone that can be polite and professional one minute before switching to a much more personal and comfortable persona the next. Flexible and broad of mind would be the best way to describe Sadao Maou. Perhaps one of the nicest Demon Lords you will ever meet in the multiverse. Affable, agreeable, diligent, intelligent, charismatic, and mysterious would also be apt descriptions of the devil himself. Despite his non-serious attitude, evoking his wrath tends to lead to something best described as "awakening a sleeping dragon". Brief History: Despite his current ordinary life as a Mg Ronald's employee in the city of Tokyo (he recently became Assistant Shift Manager at his local branch location), Sadao Maou used to be a Demon Lord from an alternate reality. His past was full of bloodshed and darkness as befitting of a holder of the name of Satan (though he's not really the first in Ente Isla and Satan is basically the demon race's equivalent of "Bob"). Born to a lowly goblin-like tribe, young Satan Jacob is the only survivor of his people due to an intense battle between much more powerful demonic forces. As he laid down waiting for death, the demonic child was nursed back to health by a mysterious angel that told him stories during his infirmity. Upon fully healing, the survivor used his newly imparted knowledge to quest for more power and wisdom, culminating in an ambition that made him the undisputed ruler of the various fractured demon tribes after a quarter of a century of crusading. Crowned the Demon King, he then turned his sights to the cross-shaped lands of Ente Isla in a grand scheme to provoke the enmity of subdued humans so as to eternally sustain his people on their negative emotions due to the fact Demonic Magic is empowered by darker thoughts. Universe of Origin: The Devil Is A Part-Timer! Equipment: A few packs of casual clothes and MgRonald's employee uniforms, his trusted bike Dullahan, and his old Demon King uniform and mantle. Abilities: Sadao Maou spends most of his time as an ordinary human, key-word being "most". Due to the limit of demons relying on negative emotion to empower themselves, Sadao has to retain an energy friendly human appearance so as to not squander his magic. Even as a regular human though, he has a genius-level intellect with perfect memory recall, able to use deductive reasoning to piece together scraps of information to work out plausible deductions during investigations as well as a mind so keen that it could easily understand people through simple interactions with them, putting the best mundane psychoanalysts to shame. Behind his simple exterior is a mind so powerful that it could perform simultaneous thought processes working in tandem to think about a dozen different things without interfering with the other lines of thinking as well as figure out how how advanced theories work in a most brisk manner even when knowing nothing about such subjects prior. Simply put, it's a literal supercomputer of a mind that can even create vivid simulations like a real piece of hardware could. When he's near a sufficiently dense enough source of pain/despair/fear/loathing/hatred/etc originating from sentient beings, the man has the option of returning from his incredibly average and frail human body to a more demonic countenance. In his true demonic form of Satan Jacob, our favorite shift-food manager gains access to a predominantly black aura as well as a much more robust body. Growing in size to a height of six feet and achieving a chiseled muscular form that would put most professional bodybuilders to shame, Satan also sprouts more inhuman features as befitting his stature of Demon King such as horns, thickly furred legs from below the knees that ends in hooves, pointed claws where human nails used to be, sharper canines, and a pair of pointed horns- one of whom is cracked. Demonic powers include... Enhanced Physical Attributes: A sort of all-rounder, Satan might not be the strongest or fastest or toughest, but he has an equal mix of strength, speed, reaction time, and endurance. For all intents and purposes, he's nerfed the same way Strat's Superman's is, though in his case he knows how to fight due to many years of bloody warfare. He can also fly and quicken healing factors as well. Most of the time though he'd be quite a bit weaker than that though so as to stretch out how long he can have a viable store of magic since the stronger he is, the faster the magic depletes. It takes at least a couple dozen of people experiencing strong negative emotions to give him the ability to fight for a few minutes and a thousand or more will let him employ the majority of his skills for a good while. Telekinesis: Greatly nerfed from what he can perform in canon. In this case, he can only use it on objects that are nonorganic and weighs less than five hundred pounds. A very blunt way of utilizing telekinetic shenanigans such as holding it aloft as a shield or speeding things along at high speeds. Level of control worsens greatly if it's not outright within a ten foot radius of Satan. He can also fire off the equivalent of Force Push as well to slam into people. Teleportation: Also greatly nerfed from canon. He can jump to anyone that absolutely trusts him with all of their heart. Drains a hell of a lot of magic from him so usage in combat is all but unable except as a way to pop into help someone in trouble. Hypnosis: Again yet another greatly nerfed ability. He can use it to convince powerless individuals or regular levels of will to not notice obvious disturbances to keep them safe from conflict or to erase traces of his appearances. It's more along the lines of the Men In Black amnesia device than outright brainwashing. Forcefield Generation: You know the drill about nerfs by now. A dome shaped wall of magic that can tank several rounds of small arms fire or a sustained round from a machine gun. It is stationary, wastes a lot of magic, and naturally fades by itself in ten seconds. Alternatively, a buckler sized shield that is transportable and longer lasting can be used. Sleep Spell: Good against super grievously injured/incredibly tired mooks or anyone that is naturally prone to falling asleep rather easily, not much good for anyone else. Restoration: Fixes up any nonorganic matter to be good as new provided it's less than ten pounds. Wastes a lot of magic. Glamour: Physically transforms him into a perfect likeness of his target appearance-wise, with the same overall mass as the target. Can only use a tiny fraction of other magics while in this state unless he dispells it. Steadily decreases magic at a noticeable rate. Time Barrier: Instead of outright stopping time, it just slows down his perception of time so he can react faster. Maximum range of five seconds every hour, greatly draining in magic. Combat Magic: Shoot off small beams and blasts of concentrated demonic energy that smashes things really good in a manner reminiscent of Nanoha or Negima styled full contact magic. Intensity and size of energy blasts increases the more magic is put into the attacks. Satan can also engulf his hands and feet in the energy to add an explosive impact to his melee attack as well as temporarily transform long and narrow objects into a giant demonic broadsword of incredibly dense metal to extend reach and impact/cutting damage. Other: He plans to take over the world via working his way up from the bottom of part-timing.
