9:56 AM, December 3rd Unknown Location Karen maintained her composure when The Master unleashed a bellowing laugh that seemed to fill the endless void surrounding them, watching him stride towards her until they were literally face-to-face. If she wasn't in her invincible form right now, she might have been at least a little frightened by this, but she was thankfully able to continue meeting his gaze with something that superficially resembled confidence. He seemed quite pleased with her answer, which surprised her almost as much as what happened next. Mr. Toombs had quickly drawn another pattern on the ground with salt, but she could instantly tell it wasn't the same as the one from before. Indeed, instead of another portal, it turned out to be a mirror of all things! A mirror with faces in it, each one seeming to voice a different opinion on someone they'd never personally met before. She hated when people did that. Thankfully, they went silent when The Master began to speak, as otherwise she might've been tempted to tell a few of them off. He then recognized her as the Wizard's successor, which seemed like a pretty nice gesture from somebody that was apparently centuries old. She could tell, though, that some of the people in the mirror didn't seem all that happy about it. The fact that she was likely seeing multiple faces from around the world all contained in a mirror wasn't quite as jarring as it perhaps should've been. Was she becoming desensitized to this crazy stuff? "I'll...do my best to not let any of you down," Karen finally spoke, with a slight bow of her head. "I know I have a lot to learn, though, so any cool magic lessons are always welcome!" Samantha had been silent this entire time, to Karen's surprise. Normally she liked to do the talking, to the point where it was difficult to get a word in edgewise unless you started yelling. She remained quiet as the Master directed them to follow Mr. Toombs back to their home, only finally speaking when he mentioned that things were about to get a lot more interesting. "You're most certainly correct on this, Clayton Toombs," Sam replied to him. "Soon, the world will reawaken to the reality it has long sought to deny."
