♧
Gabrial hailing from Durmstrang was interesting and something she hadn't guessed. It was a school she hadn't been to. Though the Scandinavian region did contain a lot of places she was sure would be fun to visit, despite Gabrail's need to distance himself between him and the school. Perhaps maybe it was the harsh weather? Fianna wasn't sure if that's what people said about Durmstrang but she would have to follow up on that over dinner. All she did was offer him a dry laugh and shake of her head. Potions was a subject she did well in but it was an uphill battle compared to other subjects so she had to see if maybe the new professor could give her some tips. Before having a chance to counter his suggestive comment, their ever faithful and fearless Headmaster entered the room. Glancing to Gabrail, Fianna looked back to Minerva as she began to address everyone and eventually gave one of the new teachers, Gabrial getting the luck of the draw, to go first with introductions. She listened as both Minerva and Gabrial exchange a few warm words before he effortless accepted his position of Head of Slytherin. Fianna found it funny how he hadn't been informed sooner but she had to guess it had simply slipped Minerva's mind during the tedious interview process which Fianna didn't remember fondly due to the background checks or other hoops that teachers had to jump through to teach at such a prestigious school like Hogwarts. Setting down her goblet, which was now empty, she listened to the others who were new. It seemed one of them was also a new caretaker. She shuddered, thinking back to Filch and how she and her mates would play jokes on him. It seemed like the new caretaker was younger and a squib, much like their predecessor. As it was time to go fill their bellies with whatever feast had been prepared for the staff, she give a light greeting to the other three new faces before she excused herself. As she walked along, she found Gabrial keeping pace with her. "Gryffindor, tis a fine House." She remarked with a proud smile much like a mother talking about her children. "I was sorted there and now I'm happy to be overseeing it." Fianna said as they walked along, a slow, unhurried pace. "I have to wonder which House you might have been sorted into..." She thought aloud, now grinning thoughtfully. A devious idea had now been planted inside of her noggin. It was as if she were a mischievous student again. "Come on!" She grabbed his hand and headed back toward where the Headmaster's office was. "If I'm willin' to bet, you'd be in Gryffindor." She said, now expecting the sorting hat to say something wildly different. "But let's find out." She said as she pulled him along.
