But can they take on a Super Star Destroyer? Let alone a regular one under a certain Chiss grand admiral?
Couldn't say to be honest. I mean, they have little issue with Protoss Carriers and those use interceptors very similar in the swarm function that TIE fighters are often employed in. Jim's a bit of a strategic savant as well, though in a very different tactical sense when you consider that on one hand, alien enemy wise, you have a race of aliens who can produce units rapidly and literally just overrun EVERYTHING and another race over here with tech so many years ahead of the Terrans that it's a wonder they don't rule the known universe. Respectively known as the Zerg and the Protoss. In terms of stats, Wraiths, and Vikings though they lack cloaking, are air superiority fighters designed to take out other ships, even capitol class ships. The only ships in the Terran fleet that could consider it are the Behemoth-Class Battlecruisers, and we'd need a test done to see how well Star Destroyer shielding holds up to a Yamato Cannon blast and then the ship itself. Then there's the Gorgon-Class Battlecruiser, which is like a Super Star Destroyer, bigger ship, more and stronger guns, etc, etc. Overall, I don't know because we don't have a reliable way to test it.
