[@1Charak2] I'm going to use this on Morgana. Whisperings From The Treacherous: /ᛚ/ᛊ/ᛏ/ᛃ/ᛁ Laguz Merkstave: Rune of fear, avoidance, confusion, madness, despair and sickness. Sowilo Merkstave: Rune of bad counsel, gullibility and retribution. Tiwaz Merkstave: Rune of mental paralysis, over-analyzation, strife and imbalance. Jera Merkstave: Rune of reversals, bad timing and major changes. Isa Merkstave: Rune of treachery, deceit, plots and betrayal. A rune that is best applied on the target when he is distracted or otherwise unable to resist the rune. No matter when or how the rune is applied, it becomes useless if the target discovers the rune and understands the meaning behind it. Unlike the majority of runes out there, Whisperings of the Treacherous does not actualize an effect or mystery, but a series of smaller effects that flow into each other. As the name of the rune states, the end effect results in the target mistrusting everybody that they once considered an ally or confidante and even plotting their downfall. Whenever a rune has fulfilled its purpose, it will disappear. Merkstave Laguz introduces suspicion and doubt in the victim's mind, which leads to the merkstave Sowilo that makes him start to justify those doubts and if necessary make reasons up. Merkstave Tiwaz makes the victim truly belief those delusions and merkstave Jera, who usually activates right after merkstave Tiwaz, locks the victim into this state of mind and makes him unable to let go of his feelings of mistrust without both psychological assistance and sufficiently powerful magecraft. Finally the merkstave Isa rune transforms the victim's state of mind into action and will only leave when the last of the victim's former allies is dead or otherwise disposed. On average it takes about a fortnight for the merkstave Isa rune to become active, but this can vary dramatically (from 10 seconds to years) depending on several variables: the level of (mis)trust between the victim and his comrades, how good the caster is at manipulating other people and his skill at mind-altering spells, the sanity of the victim, the closeness between the victim and the caster, ... It is important to note that as long as the rune is not discovered or otherwise dispelled (like coming into contact with more powerful curses or even channeling a great amount of prana through the rune) the previously described end result will come to pass.
