At the center of the world sits Midhaven, the international hub of commerce. The city is filled with people from all races and all walks of life. Strangely, no one has attempted to conquer it, and it has remained independent for the last hundred years or so. An ancient power plant keeps the water pumps and filtration systems running, but since nobody alive knows how electronics work, maintenance has been shoddy. Still, Midhaven remains one of the cleanest cities on the continent.
